I take it daily but you are supposed to have a break from it as you can become desensitized after a long supplementation. It is an adaptogen for daytime use not night time. It stimulates noradrenalin, serotonin, dopamine and acetylcholine receptors in the CNS which is why you feel awake. As an adaptogen it helps to decrease cortisol levels like Ashwagandha does (which is better for night time as it is sedating) and helps to balance hormones.

Very cool - pls be aware tho that some minority of us experience severe dizziness and headache from this supplement - try before strenuous activity. I took it before a challenging hike and fell twice due to out-of-nowhere dizziness - not like I could just go lie down somewhere halfway through the hike …. Not good. Was actually pretty scary 😟

I work out in the evening around 5:00 p.m. Can I take this supplement in the morning to give me the kind of energy that you're talking about? If I take it at 5:00 p.m. then I'm probably not going to be able to hit the sack when I like to around 10:00 or 11:00 p.m.

It depends you might want to try 100 mg at 1 pm. Then increase by 50 or 100mg, no more then 300 mg. Personally I synthesis 200 mg of a mix of roseroot, holy basil, and vitamin B. I take the supplement I make only on practice days or, bi-daily 2 weeks prior to major events that require my focus. The proper percentage of Holy Basil helps ensure I am able to meet my sleep schedule. There are alot of supplements on the market are a mix of rose root and holy basil. You can also take them separately, if you do take them separately only do 100 mg each. Remember to not take it daily or you will become less receptive to smaller doses.

I don't think so. I personnaly take it twice a day. At noon and in the evening before sleep and I find it reduces dramatically my anxiety and help me drift asleep quickly.

For once, I will reconsider your advice. Please don't use Rhodiola Rosea. Although it may help with fatigue or energy levels in some users, harvesting it is bad for the environment. So, let's do our bit to preserve a plant much needed where it grows and find an alternative to your problem.

I think thats why its so important to promote the cultivation of R. Rosea. I also have not seen many resources on its cultivation, despite its increasing popularity. Hopefully we see a spike, personally I have had minimal success in growing the R. Rosea, which took almost 4 years to cultivate a few roots.
