I just wanted to say, this was so many years ago, but I just saw it for the first time and I don't think I could talk for a couple of minutes after watching Sea Wall. It was astonishingly played and beautifully written. Absolutely loved it. just...Thank you. :)

So many gems...love when Simon says "we were playing in the broken space"...talking about the Bush Theatre, but it is such an evocative phrase even out of that context. Love the discussion of both acting and writing.

It's refreshing to hear an atheist speak respectfully about religion and honestly about his own spiritual journey. I'm glad he's not anti-theist anymore, and I think it's really cool that writing Sea Wall helped him come out of that. It's a beautiful thing.

Great talk from Simon, I really appreciate you❤️. I just wanna say that the conflict in the middle east between Arabs and Israel is not a religion conflict, its a conflict about palestinian entitlement to their own land and home, its not a matter between muslims and jewish.

For me, it’s not religion but spirituality that is being discussed. After suffering the sudden accidental death of Lucy, it made sense to wonder about ‘God’…and I liked how it was spoken about by Alex (and ultimately by Simon). 🐑🐑🇳🇿🇳🇿NZ

Though its a lovely concept of the part where you say how can you struggle with the idea of god when you believe and feel love. Unfortunately I can only say about the chemical reasons going on biologically when you feel love and for children the love is to make sure your genes stay safe in the next generation. Still a very lovely thought at base value. How can you not feel touched by god if you're touched by love?
