Glad you got to meet our Roothy - yes a legend of 4wd touring for sure. Modern legend maybe, with thoughts back to Alby Mangels, The Leylands and we can't forget Malcolm Douglas, but a legend nonetheless. The wonders of media have certainly raised his profile, and allowed many of us to share in his exploits, much like you Andrew. Cheers. You may need to do a trip with him?
Roothy is a absolute Aussie bush icon and a Queenslander aswell!! No doubt he has a wealth of knowledge about 4x4ing across the best country in the world.
It was only a matter of time that you two guys were going to meet it'd be great to see you guys do a trip together in the future love watching the videos
Geeees fellas ! Gotta be related !!!! How about the Toyota V12 from the Toyota Century ? Now that would pull the Queen Mary and every Dato in the Southern Hemisphere ! Maybe that could be a joint build between you fellas ! But remember VB Green paint job !!!! Bless you both for the joy you give us all ! Bernie would be proud Roothy !!
You are both classy guys and Roothy has that personality that just makes everyone happy. Also loved when he rolled Milo but still uploaded it. Even with years of experience mistakes can happen and not so much about the mistake as it is how we recover from it.
Great video Andrew, and about time you two met up on screen. I hope to see more of this interaction in the future. As always, a pleasure to watch your offerings and I have learnt a lot from your solutions to typical problems. It was great to view your troopy in Queensland!
Great commence from the guys below.. yes I would also like to see more adventures from the two of you.. stop reading .. start those 2 vehicles and go.. I am waiting for the next videos mates!!
First off I love the podcast "Roothy's Australia ". It makes my Friday mornings just perfect here in the great nation of Texas. I have a used Mint metallic green 1994 Geo Tracker 4wd that I got cheap 2 weeks ago . I believe that it is a love child of Milo. Should I name mine baby Milo also ? What say y'all ?
I had the pleasure of meeting roothy when he came to perth a while ago. An absolute fair dinkum aussie gentleman. This is why he will always be the face of australian 4wd tourism i reckon! Great video as always andrew im a big fan mate!
Roothy !! Enjoyed a lot of his magazine articles.. now i know he has a channel. Love Aus and what great place to explore by 4x4.. I hope to have a big trip out there in next year or 2. Moved to Can and done lots here and U.S. but Aus has been a bucket list item for a very long time.
Hey Andrew, I'm relatively new to your channel, but I like your videos and style a lot! I watched your Overlanding in America series first, because I own a GX470 and that's how I found your channel. I figured if you review more vehicles that are sold in other countries, you may get a lot more views! Lots of knowledge to learn from you, thanks for your work.
This roughneck man of 30 years just went 13y/o fan girl over this video. We have horrible 4wd programming here in the states, been a subscriber of yours and roothy/4wd action for many years now. Big fan of the content and wisdom you each have put out over the years, and the amazing adventures you’ve brought us along on. From the Kalahari to Cape York, it’s been wonderful to view your content, would love to visit Africa and Australia by 4wd once my daughter grows a bit more. P.S. A smut short story involving milo and having a land cruiser “child” would be phenomenal to read.
I hope there’s more to this... did you film a longer interview with him by any chance? It would be great to do an overland workshop with Roothy. I reckon there would be enough content to fill up many hours! :)
Well Andrew, look what u found on the south side of Brissy. You both should start you own 4wd channel together. First trip, back up to Cape York. There was good chemistry between u both and well I’ve been watching Roothy since 4wd Monthly. Top bloke he is.
ORANGE LIGHT ON A TOYOTA, jeez!! nice to see you both in a vid. Do you think there could be a double feature of you and the 4WD action guys in the future? would be awesome.
Wowza ... talk about worlds colliding. You pair should definitely do a trip/project/SOMETHING together - the chemistry feels right almost straight away.
