Great defence and tennis good IQ will always prevail. The guys shots are pretty, but when you can run everything down and make him play 1 or 2 shots more than expected, you'll generally get the job done. Nice play Andy

Friendly observation: Logan could benefit from footwork; particularly recovery after serve and split step.

Hi Andrew, as always a very good quality video and an interesting match. After I've watched many of your videos (I enjoy them), I want to make a critic comment about your tennis. You are still a young, fast and athletic player, and that together with your consistency and solid tennis make you a hard to die player...however, I challenge you to play more aggressive to prevent future injuries and make your tennis career longer. Otherwise some day (maybe not to far) you'll start feeling the miles in your body. You only have one body, take care of it. My2cents (based on my own experience). Good tennis and good luck.

Logan didn't get a good enough return on his skills. He really didn't have any offense and didn't put andrew out of position much. Just let andrew's accuracy and consistency take him out. But you could see how skilled Logan was when he was playing defensively. Also thought it was interesting that even when andrew has a sitting smash at the net he goes for the soft topspin drive volley instead.

Which forehand grip do you use? Eastern?

Would be cool if you ever hit with TennisTim or Matt Linn other youtube tennis legends.

great PLAY ANDREW!!! Love the work on your serve. Your opponent has a more consistent knee bend, and a bit more power, but your serve is improving steadily. Keep putting those pieces together, especially your knee bend and wrist pronation. I think you have some 5.5 guys in your sights! ALso, you may want to work on deep breathing while you serve- i find that when i tense up, i lose mphs, so sometimes i try to concentrate on a big exhale as i make contact (even grunting helps sometimes). No need to be self conscious.

Dude in black shorts is pretty damn good .. 5.0 is tough level for the big boys

Where do you play?

The clue is the slice backhands. Nothing exposes a good player like a goofy slice back hand. And they both have goofy unorthodox slice backhands.

Sheeet, it looks almost like ballet guys. 5.0? I don't know. Almost all the balls are this within a foot of the service line. I would expect a 5.0 to be able to constantly hit deeper AND being able to put away a ball that's almost in the service courts (instead of pushing it back into play).

Man that guy had really good form and relly meh decision making. So many times charging net off that crappy midcourt slice, why? his forehand is soo strong, need to work on hitting good approach forehands
