@@pctotty No. Trump's lawyer accused him of lying, but never proved that to be the case. Cohen said it was about Stormy, the lawyer said it was about a teenager harrasing Cohen. The evidence suggests that he talked about both subjects on that call.

True - you cannot defend the indefensible. Trump has no defense in any of the cases, so the delay tactics, lying about witnesses/judges/the law, and digging up dirt on prosecuters is all he does. That, and the lying, are the things Trump is actually good at. And making a fool of himself and his followers, but that comes naturally.

Well for one, it's clear that he's telling the truth by doing so. If he had denied doing things he'd been convicted of - or otherwise makes him look bad - he'd look like he was not credible. Do you see how that works?

@@bobagorof - I don’t believe Cohen is telling the truth. I believe he has been caught lying on the stand (at least once during this trial). There is an expression when assessing the credibility of a witness: “Falsus in uno, falsus in omnibus.” If you believe that a witness has lied once during testimony, then you can disregard all of the witnesses testimony. All it takes is 8% of the jury to notice Cohen’s lie and to value justice over politics for Trump to be cleared. Too many of my fellow liberals do not understand how much the politicization of our justice system to attack Trump is actually enabling Trump; making him a martyr. I believe this explains why Trump is polling better with African Americans than any Republican candidate since the passage of the Civil Rights Act. Al Gore got 96% of the African American vote in 2000. Trump is currently polling at 20%. Liberal-leaning independents are either leaving the Democratic Party or disengaging from the voting process altogether. This is happening for multiple reasons - of which the politicization of the DOJ is a contributing factor.

Here is Weissmann's qualifications. And you? He was an Assistant United States Attorney from 1991 to 2002, when he prosecuted high-profile organized crime cases. n 2002, President George W. Bush appointed Weissmann to be the deputy director and then director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation's Enron Task Force.[5] Weissman also served as the General Counsel of the Federal Bureau of Investigation from 2011 to 2013
