Yes! At this point, it’s kind of unacceptable. Android has had full screen phones for years now. Should be just like in iOS where it matches the app background.
App pairs are really cool. Im gonna be using that a lottt. Especially when opening group chats from 2 different apps trying to catch up with everyone quickly.
80 percent of these changes are not even features. These are just slight tweaks or minor improvements. But android is in such a position from last few years that pulling one toggle from one menu to another also counts as a feature.
I've always been an iPhone user but I've had a pixel for the last year. There are a lot of features on here I wished the iPhone had. From the Grammarly floating button when I'm typing to catch errors (iPhone you would have to switch keyboards) to the call screening (my face). I'm excited to see all the AI changes and how Apple responds.
Thank you so much for posting this great review. You are the first I turn to when I hear of something new! I appreciate the mammoth effort you put into your posts, they are very helpful. Blessings!
@KalebPrentice multiaccounting is meant for having different users on the phone. A private or secure space within a particular account is meant for having one more layer of security for certain things. While one could use multiple users to achieve the same, the idea and the implementation are not the same. As an example, you could install your banking apps into the secure space without the need of switching users.
Nice features. Still waiting for things like lock screen customization, icon packs, change fonts, remove icon labels, remove at a glance, remove search bar, create folders within the app drawer, change color palette freely, OLED black dark mode version (i hate the grey), compact tiles in quick settings (i hate those big buttons). I love the pixel experience, but there's so much native customazation options messing.
49 / 5.000 You want it to be like ONE UI, even if it becomes so in the future. Once these features will be integrated with the Android system, it will undoubtedly be much faster, smoother, and less bloated, which is also my preference.
@@b.savasarac6553 They are working like a charm currently in my humble Galaxy phone. Besides many of these features might never come to vanilla anyway or it might take a long time to come at best.

The way you're making reviews makes me choose Pixel and use it with Galaxy (what I use). HUGE THANKS for this post. It was so perfect 👌. Another HUGE THANKS to Google for fixing the annoying bugs and adding features that we didn't even expect them to come! Dear Emad, your effort is always an effort ❤.
Love that Google finally implemented private space into Android. Samsung's implementation is a bit better. Your private space is an app which you can customize to blend in with your other apps, rather than a space within your app drawer.
@@izzu_1003 If you are not a hardcore gamer then you can go for it... I feel like the charging speed is slow. Google could've given at least 30 watts. Other than that everything is working fine for me
@@GudduKumar-gj7jp Sometimes the network on my carrier seems not as strong as other phones such as xiaomi or Samsung. Other than that I haven't faced anything to worry about.
How would the notifications work for the apps in the private space? Also, in case we use the same Google account, can we still separate pictures, or it doesn't work? If you can compare it to Samsung private space, that will be amazing. Thanks
Bluetooth (and other connections) should have had more options than just "turn on again tomorrow". It should be 5 minutes, 10m, 20m, 30m, 45m, 1h, 2h, tomorrow, or custom where you set the designated period. The same for app pausing, I want to pause certain apps when I am on holidays for a week. Currently, you can only pause for a day.
Why not bring back the ability to customize icon shape which they randomly decided to remove, and utilize the "AI" capabilities of the tensor to override all apps to look like themed icons, you know, like in lawnchair.
This feels more like a pixel feature drop that they are releasing as a standalone android update because they spent their time and budget on AI. Android updates are getting boring. It hasn't been a priority for Google for years. We haven't had a big update since Android 12. Google, where is the big visual update that we are waiting for? The dull pastel colors never grew on me. Also give us widgets for Screensaver, AOD or lockscreen for phones. It seems like the biggest focus of this update is private space. I think most users will not use this feature.
Does having Beta version cause any major issues? I'm a normal phone user- basic tasks. Should I Opt in Beta or not? I have Pixel 8. What do you suggest? PS- I like having early access to new features
He had some level of concussion. All the symptoms are there. Unfortunately scans don’t ever show a concussion but hopefully the scans were used to rule out further damage and bleeding.
they need to fix dpi scaling or whatever when I force my phone UI to be smaller in dev options usually everything scales right but the news app when swiping right on home screen doesn't scale right and leaves black bars on the side
App pairs are definitely useful on Pixel Fold. Was waiting for it to happen in Android 15. I hope the dock also got improvements. Anyone tried beta on Pixel Fold?
Damn, Pixel devices are really behind in terms of software features when you compare them with Samsung One UI devices.. Everything shown here was already on Samsung for years now. Also "Good Lock" is a godsend for customizing everything about the device.
I was wishing for a way to finally be able to remove the google search bar at the bottom and the "at a glance" fixed widget... I guess it will never happen.
With this update I lost all my home screens. The widgets stayed. All my apps are back in the app drawer. I've had the same setup for years. Is there a way of getting it back besides trying to remember what app went where on 7 pages? I used to have a second phone set up exactly the same to use as a reference. But it was stolen.🥺 I guess this motivates me to buy another pixel to sync up to this phone's profile and hopefully the app positions will reappear.😅
One thing, that i hate is the apps page, it's not necessary 😂😂 Android should think in put the apps in other place, or make this apps page more comfortable. 😅😅
Except private space there is nothing new...this update is just like feature drop for pixels... No force dark mode for all apps,no lock screen widgets,no depth wallpapers,no forced theme icons on home screen...😢
