This follow-up on Android 15 QPR 1 beta 2 is a treasure trove of insights! The shift from "adaptive charging" to "charging optimization" is a game-changer, especially with the new 80% limit feature-finally, a nod to battery longevity that other brands have been flaunting for ages! The redesigned discover feed is visually appealing, making content consumption feel fresher and more organized. Plus, the spatial audio toggle for Pixel Buds Pro? Genius! It’s these thoughtful tweaks that elevate the user experience. I’m curious about the performance dips you mentioned; it’s a reminder that even betas can be a mixed bag. Can’t wait to see what else Android 15 has in store!
Couple of things, 3:00 is already on my Pixel 4a 5G, and its not even supposed to get Android 15. Also, Pixel 3 just got Gemini in Messages. Not sure if that's a glitch or what, but Google is kinda all over the place with what they say and what they do.
I am a pixel user from India. We get updates late and I don't see much changes and improvement after updates, except for changing icons' shapes , colours , . Last updated improved my battery performance but after few days , it didn't.
Is there any way to remove the "navigation line" on the bottom of the screen like u can in hyperos? It's takes up a little bit of the screen and it can lead to burn in. Also can you remove the notification panel in android 15? I love a clean screen
These mo'fos at Google will never give us the possibility to disable the darn gestures hint line, huh?! Maaaan, it's like they're doing it actively now. Idk.
Temperatures seem to be the same tbh. But some animations are not good. If you have notifications turning on your screen on, once they change into icons, the icons will move to the top of the clock. Also, if you have a widget on display (like the remote widget for Google TV) and let your display turn off, the widget will overlay on the lock screen. Looks like total amateur hour.
I am currently using pixel 6a.I cannot find an option to limit how many person can use my hotspot...A lot of my friends have my hotspot password. When I turn on hotspot for one of my friend, other devices (other friends) also gets connected. Is there any way to limit this?
Heavy Work load tests, i have noted that S23ultra performed well with one ui 5.1 but when updated it to one ui 6 there was a drop back in performance, It could be that reason why the S24ultra failed Your Tests twice. And one thing i would like to ask:- When the iPhone failed twice and it closed the game u still gave it chances by continuing with the tests but on S24ultra no chances, WHY?
I get so excited with Full in-depth detailed videos, i used to go with benchmark numbers but your Heavy Work Load Tests i have learn alot when choosing a device to buy, Thanks Man
I've got a samsung galaxy S23. Would you say there's a worthwhile upgrade for me in the Pixel 9 Pro? I often make use of the galaxy ai webpage summarize and translate (German to english).
I have s23 ultra and just bought my first pixel. Pixel is amazing, i use the AI summary, especially for long videos and other AI performances. It's good investment but just also not a mobile gaming phone nor heavy task phone
Crash detection doesn't work on this beta nor does phone calls as I can't hear the person on the other end had to restart the device also vibrate notifications are hit and miss sometimes they work sometimes they don't.
Yes, I assume that some OEMs...cough, cough...Samsung, have complained, as they do not want people realizing that their battery is degrading. It always surprised me, that Samsung has millions of useless features and options, but never copied Apple with battery health--there is probably a good reason for that.
It is not just any number for our convenience. It actually has a reason. Charging a lithium battery from 30% to 80% uses about 0.4 wear cycles of the battery whereas charging it from 30% to 100% uses about 0.9 wear cycles. (Charging from 0-100 uses 1.0). A good analogy would be eating. You can go eating from an empty stomach to satisfied stomach easily, but eating beyond that until you're completely full takes some work. It's just the way lithium batteries work
