Maaaaaan, I have watched this so many times and get spine shivers every single time. Intro builds, he sneaks in Rock It, tunes drop and then out of nowhere he drops Hush Hush. Wooosh 😎
I’m from California and fell in love with DnB 10+ years ago and still come back to this set. Still wish I was able to go to Fabric and Matter in person to see this shit live!
@chinqlinq89 you'll never be able to go to Matter cos it closed like 10 years ago. Fabric will be open for a long time though we hope! A dnb event there is an experience.
@@chinqlinq89 The sound system at Matter was insane. Full body resonance from the Bass. Fabric room 2 used to be good. Now it’s full of sound limiters because it’s been close to being shut down for ecstasy deaths in the past sadly (in both senses of the word.) Corsica studios is the best in London now, especially the Rupture LDN label nights.
@@aidanlee8804 that’s unfortunate. Red Rocks Amphitheater is legendary out here and got sound limited because residents living barely within eyes view, miles away, were complaining about the sound projections.
@boltonbabe79 true that! Smaller clubs have better vibes for me. And better sound! Festivals can be fun, but often a bit hit or miss. I was at this night. So good.
Goldie is = to Puff daddy in the 90s he's all ways there in the back ground which is cool but all ways fucking about no intention of a rewind just interfering and getting in the way that's my two cent's peace out.
Whoever recorded this with their cell phone, thank you. I've heard Andy C but seeing live video of him at work gives much more of an appreciation for his genius.
8 years now man, time flies by. I was stood to the right in the back corner and couldnt believe what I was experiencing. These years were the second golden age of DNB for me, old school with just the right of new, when Subfocus and Chase and Status were on the come up.
this is what i watched when i was 17 wanting a dnb night so bad!!! luckily when i was 18 i saw him many times in brighton, even the machete drop at digital!!!!!
i've watched this clip several times at home now on a system that has no chance of doing the music it's proper justice... and even in that far less than ideal setup, the build up to the Machete drop still makes me go insane at home. I'm pretty sure I would have had a heart attack with that build and drop if I had been there to hear it in person. INCREDIBLE!
Yoo, this was a fat Ram night. I was there. Goldie set was amazing as well. I always remember him poking his tongue out and pulling mad faces in the dj box as he was playing some crazy dark tunes. If i remember rightly, DJ EZ was in room 2 as well. Such a wicked event and venue. There is no tape pack for this one, but it would have been a belter
I would pay so much money to attend a class on three turntable mixing taught by Andy C. I don't even spin drum n bass, and it's so blatantly obvious this guy is without a doubt amongst the best, if not THE best DJ of all time.
Agreed but this intro was over canned by Andy that year EVERY single set GQ and other MC's acted like they'd never heard it before, yawn I'd heard it about 10 times that year alone. Exactly the same opening three. It's good but for me a great DJ slips that sort of thing in once in a while not a factory production line is the same old thing,
@@dantaylor7344 I've seen Andy about 10 times and not 1 intro has been the same so seems unlikely that the 10 times you saw him he played the same. Lol. But never the less, sounds like an anomaly
Lewis WTF? Stop chatting shite I've seen plenty of intro the same for years! Snowcat on top of Twist 'em out. Machete on top of Hush Hush, you just have a crap memory. Grow up tool.
How little you know my friend..he's always mixed his styles up and prefers longer sets to go on a bit of a journey.. he's also easily one of the most technically able of all d n b dj's..i've seen him play since the early 90's and he just gets better..
@mrmotive-Shimon hush hush is one of my favourites. definitely in the top ten drum and bass tunes of all times with The One, Alien Girl, The Pulse, Ra and Original Nuttah. ill have to think what else, any one elses view's please. i think rock it may creep in to it cuz its such an anthem
Can anyone tell me if theres a cd or tape pack for this set? i really need this set. prob one of the best ones ive heard!!! ( i think i was like about 1 person next to the guy filming it lol)
Who else was at this night?? Pretty sure it was Matters opening weekend. I also remember the mad dubstep in room 2, Caspa and N-Type played and Dizzee Rascal turned up unannounced to MC. So good.
It wasn't the matter opening weekend - that was in September the year before - but it was the very first of the bi-monthly RAM nights (alternating with Hospital records).
You must not like good DJ's then, cause he's the best in the world for a reason. Thats one of the sickest intros ive ever heard. I have yet to hear a set from anyone else that matches Andy C.
