I went to Trestles one day just to relax and meditate. Happens that the Rip Curl pro was going on. Must have been early 2000’s. I was sitting on the cobblestones down close to the water. I looked over and 20 feet from me was AI stretching out. Hard to say what it was - but there was something very special about him. Almost like he was beyond a normal person. So sad about addiction. Wish he was still surfing today.
