Andy Murray has confirmed that he will retire from tennis after the Paris Olympics.
The 37-year-old had already announced that he expected 2024 to be his last season as a player, earmarking Wimbledon and the Olympics as his farewell events. They are the tournaments at which he has achieved his greatest success, winning the men’s singles at SW19 in 2013 and 2016, and taking Olympic gold in London and Rio de Janeiro in 2012 and 2016 respectively.
