The complete embodiment of a Sports Personality. His life is his sport, it's in his DNA. Like he said, he works as hard as he can every single day and you believe him when he says it. I couldn't think higher of him.
He did nothing in 2015, there should be a rule where if you win a world title you are given preference. Tai Woffinden was World Champion that year, should have got the award.
I personally think he deserved it. He won 11 matches this year to help Great Britain win the Davis Cup. He always comes across as polite and and cares so much about his sport. A great champion

Well deserved in my opinion, just because its sports personality doesn't mean their personality has to be really out there, he's a sensible guy with a good work ethic, i think a lot of people misunderstand him and his dry sense of humour too. Overall a top bloke who brings a lot to his sport and is very relatable and grounded while at it. Well done Andy!!

I know this is from years ago but it’s a shame how many comments there are saying he’s got no personality. So many tennis players quote him as being one of the funniest on tour and I’ve seen him be very funny on game shows etc. he just doesn’t like press conferences and tbh I don’t blame him. Definitely deserved this award
Great Britain winning Davis cup is a monumental achievement considering Murray ha been the only good British make tennis players of the last ten years. I've watched Murray is whole career and never thought that he could lead Britain to Davis cup success

Tyson fury should have pissed this award beating a super champion that hadn't been beating for donkeys years in Germany which is unheard of. Plus his personality is legendary! It's just typical of this PC country we live in today that freedom of speech is condemned and no longer exists in society today.

You dont get it for having a colourful personality you get it for being a gentleman sportsman which TF clearly is not. 'Personality' of the Year? this is surely the most inappropriate title of any programme - it would be better to call it Sportsperson Achiever of the Year. It has nothing to do with their personality - if it was Andy Murray would never have won it. it is about what the person has done in the year, NOT what they are like as a person.
