One of the best singers in the world. He is missed. I loved his voice and songs as a child overseas listening to older brothers play his records late at night. As an older adult, I still cherish Andy Williams. Rest in peace, Mr. Williams. A gift to mankind.
Wow! I never thought of that! You have a real ear for music! I take too much for granted as that is a very remarkable feat! Thanks for making me aware!
I wasn't expecting to hear him nail the beginning of Happy Heart a couple seconds after the orchestra was playing Moon River. They're two very different songs. It sent a chill down my spine.
So thankful for technology where we are able to watch these classic videos of great singers like Andy Williams. Rarely missed a week of his TV shows in my high school years.
In one of Andy Williams interviews, He said I put my pants on just like everyone else. My clothes purchase of the rack. We were poor had plenty of food family Love. Worked hard to get up the ladder, Never wanted my children to think they were better then anyone else. This man read his book Moon River and me. Tells about this man. Good Family Man. Every one Loves Andy Williams
I've loved Andy since I was 14 ,have 34 albums, I've seen him 6 times and met him at a book signing ,Andy and his music have seen me through good times and bad, I listen to him every day, God bless you RIP Andy your wonderful spirit is free now,and will always live on❤❤❤❤
Dearest Andy, rest in peace. I will always love your voice and your music. You gave me romance and moments to dream. I was in het concertgebouw in Amsterdam to see you when i was 14 years. Now I am still listening to your voice as I am 64! Thank you so much for what you have given me🍀
What a commensurate vocalist. He sang with emotion and passion. I watched his weekly TVShow for years and his Christmas specials! How I miss singers with talent like this. 🥰
Andy's singing voice is so so pure and instantly recognised. Andy's beautiful easy listening, relaxing voice helped me during my dark times, particularly when I was a teenager and losing my only brother Richard in the 70's. Heaven surely is a richer place having such a talent up there. God bless you Andy and Richard. Greatly missed.
@mariaparganas5475 He’s always with you- right there… in your heart. Somehow, I agreed w/you, ‘Heaven surely is a richer place’ RIP Andy Williams and Richard. I wish you well, and in a good health.
The greatest crooner of all. I was 13 and bought his record and played it until it was worn out! I saw him in concert in London. RIP Mr Williams. Listening to you in 2020 when I want to be cheered up.
I saw Andy in Vegas, much older than he was here, and he could still sing as good as he ever did!!!!! His voice never let him down. Miss his talent, no more like him around any longer...
as a non-professional musician, I think this is the greatest vocal ever. I can't get enought of it. I listen to it almost ever day and it get a lump in my throat and tears ever time. its and amazing performance by an amazing vocalist.
My mum played him continually. I'm in my 60s and there's not a week goes by when he is not played. My ring tone when my wife calls meet is Andy singing "can't take my eyes off you". He was the best.
One of the most magnificent male voices ever to come out of this country; great range, beautiful tone, somewhat lost amidst the flashier icons of Sinatra to Presley...however, there are many signature songs, movie themes, & not to forget his perrenial classic Christmas albums heard every year since their release... greatness woven deep into the fabric of music history...
I was born a little late(1977). And i never got the chance to know him until i got interested in the song A TIME FOR US for the movie romeo and juliet. That was a year ago. So he's very new to me. I'm already 43 years old. And now a big fan of him.❤
I loved him so much. In 6th grade I had a crush on a boy and I would ride my bike past his house. I was thrilled when he sang On the street where you live. Our family moved away and I never saw him again.
I'm so sorry today I never saw him in concert.😢💔 An unbelievable singer! His voice is God given to him!🙏💖 I have tears in my eyes when I listen to all his songs.😪 I will never forgive myself for missing the opportunity to see him knowing he was in Missouri performing all year round.🥴
A true class act, a gentleman, a powerful crooner and I’m still his number one fan!! Tears still fall because I miss you so much!! Andy thank u so much for your sultry voice, your elegance , your presentations and your phenomenal voice !! I love you so much and this is 2020 and I have all your autograph albums!! You r definitely my king of heart!!❤️❤️🌹🌹🧨🧨💣💣💋💋🥂🥂
Oh I remember being allowed to stay up for this (I was 11). He was fantastic and I remember my Dad being impressed which to me was (in itself) the greatest praise you could have. Dad loved Andy, and so do I. He loved Buddy Rich too and the Rolling Stones - eclectic taste.
My Dad also loved Andy and Buddy Rich. In fact he played drums in all cities for Andy's Australian tour in the early 70s. Your comment's great. Merry Christmas 🎄☃️
My story exactly. Allowed to stay up past my bedtime for his show. I'm a different person today for the impact all of that surpassingly beautiful music had on me for all those years
Not many Singers can better a Presley Original. But The rendition of Can't help falling in Love, A big UK N03 Of 1970 Surpasses Elvis's by a mile. In fact it's in my all time Top 5. Singles. Thanks Andy for The memories.
Andy and Glen Campbell were exceptional vocalists. And I'm still giggling at your comment. All you get these days is vocal gymnastics. Nobody these days will just sing a bloody song the way the composer intended it to be. Shits me to death.
For a guy that normally listens to ACDC Metallica and Motorhead I have to say I loved every second of this. Andy Williams is amazing and I'm now totally confused!!
Danny Boy, Can't Help Falling in Love & many others are just EXCEPTIONAL. i was so lucky to have Andy sing these songs at other performances over the years. He was fantastic..........I think this video is only half of the total show at the Palladium that evening. I can't find the rest of it.
Andy Williams music is comforting & joyful. Being my companion then- till now, which I’m so thankful for. He’s now no longer with us. But till nowadays, his music is still entertained & brings joy to many around the world. The wonder of ‘Andy Williams’.
This is the first Andy Williams concert I attended, it was fantastic. I have been to many, many more since and he was always fantastic. Thank-you so much for posting this..xxx
This part is from Andy's appearance at the Royal Command Performance, which I recognise, as I was lucky enough to attend it......It was at the London Palladium in 1970........xxx
So so talented. Wow. To have someone like him around now would be a miracle. Yes, there's good voices around but he had class. Pure class. A good man through and through.
@@moreflowfalls2404 You ask a random sample of 100 older music lovers and see what results you get about the relative merits of Andy Williams and Sinatra! And don't be such a snowflake about these things. As I say, Andy was good but the best popular singers of all have been Frank and Matt Monro. As far as stage presence is concerned, Andy is nowhere compared with Frank.
@@SuperFerdie1965 whatever the old timers say, Frank was a show man, the only option there was then to take over from Bing Crosby.. Andy was a pure singer. Thats the difference. Aint nothing snow flakes about having a different opinion. Just dont bully people to thinking along what they do not believe in.
@@moreflowfalls2404 There you go again, assuming you're being bullied when all I'm doing is offering a different opinion!! What a snowflake! Maybe you're related to the appalling Meghan Markle, another victim!!! I don't know why you dislike Mr Sinatra so much but if you'd ever seen him in concert, I think you'd change your mind.
Great to see british drummer, the late Kenny Clare, in the backing band. I think Andy Williams was a much unrer-rated singer and did not appear to have a big ego!
