Thank you for this. Nothing we didn't know but always good to hear praise for Bobby from a fellow artist. Albeit not in Bobby's class but who was or ever will be?!
Bobby’s heart was damaged due to several bouts of childhood rheumatic fever. My father died at 29 from same infliction. He was born (like Bobby), in 1936. This has nothing to do with ‘listening to one’s cardiologist!’
@@terpsichorenthalia …yes however. I heard so many stories about how sick my father got…like Bobby he was apparently very athletic prior to getting sick. There are so many ways a damaged heart affects the body. Also, I believe that Bobby wasn’t getting enough oxygen to his brain or limbs toward the end. There is a video of him playing Hanks Lonesome Whistle. And before he starts strumming the guitar he shakes his hand to get the blood flowing. So, was it forgetfulness or had he had enough…perhaps he knew. I really don’t think we can judge someone who is so ill and tired.
