Can you create a review for thyroid function evaluation? Also, a quick note about taking iron. Patients who drink caffeine, either coffee, tea, sodas, or take high levels of calcium, especially those who take a big multi vitamin, must make some adjustments to their diet to help increase iron levels. These can impair iron absorption and be counterproductive to their iron treatment plan! When taking iron, have your patients take it with a vitamin C to improve absorption and space it out from other medications, food, or multivitamins.
