"I stopped Acathla" You AWAKENED Acathla. Actually, if you count the fact that Spike helped Buffy beat Angel in season 2 and his sacrifice in season 7, then Spike saved the world more times, and Angel/Angelus actually put it in jeapordy.
Honestly, he didn't really help her beat Angel. He only took Drusilla and left. Hell, right when he about to kill her, he shrugged and left. Actually, Angel may have saved the world more than endangering it. He did kill the Beast while soulless, bringing back the sun, even if he didn't intend it. And he broke Jasmine's glamour.
He was the reason Jasmine was born in the first place. Thus, making him the guy that nearly ended the world twice. Weirdly enough, he has NEVER truly saved the world.
that is my all-time favorite Spike/Angel moment. It's just a hilarious conversation. "Yeah, but I made her do it." ::Spike looks at Angel like he's completely insane:: "I signalled her with my eyes." His eyes were closed. ::sigh:: That always makes me laugh.
I thought I was the only one who noticed that 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Angel: I signaled her with my eyes. Spike: ......Your eyes were closed! Angel: That was the signal.
Spike by himself aside from the uber-hotness is comedy, but throw Angel in the mix and you've got double the hotness, double the laughs. They're a riot!
@chaoticXmisfit Yeah, those are my favorite couples as well. The relationship between Angel and Darla is part of why I loved Angel season 2 and 3 so much, and Spike and Dru showing up is when Buffy started to get good. I loved Dru's dialogue. I wish Whedon would have done a miniseries focusing on the days when Angelus, Darla, Spike, and Dru traveled together. I would have paid to see that.
spike loved buffy without soul, spike took his soul own his own not because of the curse and save the world because he wanted. angel loved buffy only with his soul, angel tried the destroy the wolrd on btvs season 2 and angel took his soul because of the curse.angel saved the world to be a human again but spike did not want any prize, sooo in everyway spike rocks, angel sucks remember that spike turned his mother just to save her but angel killed his father because he hated him.
Spike didn't exactly love her when he had no soul, its explained in the comics it wasn't exactly as romantic as u would think, once he got a soul it was a bit more clear and friendlier, it was love that actually was rational
@@eiljahmikaelson313 huh, no. The chip only prevented him to hurt and kill humans. His feelings for Buffy and for Dawn (yeah, i think he got attached to her, even if he hang with her because he loved her sister before) because he had no choice to stick around to the scoobies. He grew attachments for some humans because he couldn't be completly a part of the demon world anymore.
I'm not that big of a Spuffy fan(I like them but not gung ho for them) I'm more of a Spike fan.Which is why I loved when he went to the tv show Angel. His actions with Angel was just too funny. They were the older brother/little brother who fight over everything LOL.
Unfortunately yes, stopping Acathla does count as Spike's save. But then he bailed on Buffy and left her for dead just to get Dru out. And if Angelus had killed Buffy, the world would have gone to hell. And yes Angel, Spike closed the Hellmouth with a necklace. A necklace YOU were originally going to wear 😂
this is just so awesome i cant stop laughing with these two in drama we got to watch buffy because we were practicing different dialects so it proves a point buffy is educational ROFLMAO
@7MukuroRealm Actually, if you count "Happy Anniversary", when Angel stopped the world from being frozen in time, plus when Angelus brought back the sun...looks like Angel is in the lead.
@MyMojosSoDope, the new Angel and Faith comic is amazing for that very reason. The Buffy Season 9 (if you haven't read Season 8, give it a read, you'll either like it, or REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY hate it for who the big bad is. Either way, it's worth a google at the least), isn't as good because Spike is still there, and they are trying to make it seem like there is nothing left there. Showing them at parties and Spike making out with other girls with buffy dancing off to the side. Weird
@Lunarlilly Angel, season 5 episode 20, The Girl in Question. Angel and Spike go to Italy on Wolfram & Hart business involving a demon head and kidnappers, try to save Buffy who's also in Italy from an old rival of theirs called The Immortal, and bicker over who's the bigger hero and Buffy's favorite.
@7MukuroRealm Spike didn't really do jack in the fight against Glory, except not tell Dawn's secret. If that would count as saving the world, then Angel saving Buffy's butt in episode 7 of the first season counts as Angel helping save the world many times over. I guess that means Joyce and Hank saved the world, too. See. Little people can make a difference :)
Lindsay- killed by Lorne Lilah- killed by Cordy/Jasmine Darla- suicide Dru- just left Holtz- killed by Justine The Beast- killed by Angelus Jasmine- killed by Connor Connor- Angel made a deal with the evil Wolfram and Hart to save him. Angel has helped a little more than Spike, but look at that ^ it's not by a long shot. Spike helped with Glory, Angel helped with the mayor. Angel died for the cause, so did Spike. Buffy has actually saved the world at least 5 times herself.
I kind of hated Angel in this episode. Hes just so pathetic when he starts bickering over Buffy. Its amazing how much better of a character he became once he left Sunnydale and got away from Buffy. Now that I think about it, I think both Angel and Spike are much better characters when they're away from Buffy. She turns Angel into a wide eyed puppy and Spike into a pathetic stalker. They should both stay as far away from her as possible.
@7MukuroRealm Angel didn't AWAKEN Acathla, Angelus did. Angel closed it in a matter of speaking by the cost of his life. Also he stopped the world from being frozen in time by a loser. He turned back time, so he and Buffy couldn't be together as human lovers, so both of them could stay alive. And he stopped Yasmine's hypocritical way of world peace. Not to mention he destroyed Wolfram & Heart, helped Buffy against the Master, the Major, and gave the necklace for Spike to use...
is it from Buffy the vampire slayer or the show Angel what season and what episode is this??? I just started watching the sow and I love Spike and Angel!!
anyone has the clip where angel and spike have a super heated argument about who would win in a fight "A caveman or an astronaut" ? cuz that's my favorite scene with those 2
Hahahaha the only reason I prefer Angel to Spike even after seeing all of Buffy and Angel both, is because of what Spike tried to do to her. Granted, he made up for it- BIG TIME, but it still gives me the creepies. (Spike is sexier than Angel, but Angel's personality is more my style).
@MyMojosSoDope, although people do move on, at least Spike and Buffy did. The "Twilight' incident in Buffy Season 8 is huge, and it involves the Buffy and Angel romance, and goes alllll the way back to the beginning in a BIG way. Very interesting, although I hated it at first, it kinda grew on me, and it now makes the Angel and FAith comic really cool. Angel and Faith are such a great combo. Although I think Spike should cross over into it as much as possible.
@TECNO1BOY The necklace Angel brought to Buffy was handed to Angel by Lilah Morgan (from Wolfram & Heart). After the destruction of the Hellmouth, Lindsey McDonald went to the crashsite and picked up the necklace, send it to Wolfram & Hearts, now owned by Angel. And voíla! Spike came out of the necklace as a ghost as soon as Angel opened the package. Eventually Lindsey McDonald made Spike corporeal again with some magic.
@armsareforlosers damn you are right yeah. But first transformation was long with oz. and he couldnt jump and turn in a werewolfe in the jump. twillight transformations are to quik
@Leonkennedy098 well the games buffy was playing with him and the phiscal abuse she put towards him at the time would make and person snap a little if we are gonna be completely honest
I know this comment is 9 years old but I had to reply because I just watched the show and Buffy’s physical and verbal abuse of him really bothered me and I didn’t feel like it was addressed properly. It was never even called out for what it was-straight-up domestic violence. Spike wasn’t innocent and obviously did terrible things to her as well, but it bothered me that they treated the things Spike did to Buffy seriously but never addressed that she was physically abusive. I mean, she once beat him so badly he’s bruised for two episodes and they didn’t even have a scene where she apologized. I still love Buffy despite what she did just like I still love Spike despite the awful things he did-they’re both flawed and dark and complicated and that’s what’s make them interesting, but...yeah, thanks for calling this out.
@lordzahgurim I don't think turning everyone into mindless slaves counts as true world peace, so I'd count stopping Jasmine as saving the world. And I think Angel is referring to helping Buffy stop the Master, when he talks of helping close a hellmouth.
@WayAddictedtofanvids Yeh they do I looked it up on wikki apparently he comes back as a goast or something then gets his body back idk i didn't watch the show eather
