I really never thought Carter was trying to hurt Clark. She was sending a message that Clark needs to back off a bit. Which is rather funny because the WNBA is a pretty brutal.game under the basket and the refs let them do it. If they used college refs this whole league would be very different.
I noticed that as well. Sad part is that Chennedy has the ability to be one hell of a player, if she just gets her attitude in check. Rodmans, Lambiers, Greens are not legends for that reason.

Being a guard in high school in the mid 60’s, they called me “hatchet woman” LOL. But watching Reese, her arm had contact on CC's head from beginning to end! When your arm has contact with the opponent's head, one automatically flings the arm back showing I’ll get back. But Reese made sure her arm went with CC's head. Reese’s body language shows she wanted to make use of the foul, then cries about it later. Sad to see someone with great talent to have such an arrogant and high school personality.
Agree with everything but Reese has great talent. imo i don't think she's that good of a player and feel that's the reason behind her resentment of CC.

The refs made the right call in this case upgrading it just because there was good contact to the head. But it wasn’t a “head hunting” shot. She wasn’t going for the head. Calling this assault/dirty is telling the world that you have ZERO basketball knowledge without saying those words.

Reese plays dirty, in the game she got clothes line by Alyssa Thomas. Reese earlier the whole game she likes to push and shove with her elbows to get rebounds. Alyssa Thomas got fed up and when she had chance she stool Reese down!! 🤷♂️

We love to WATCH her play and how she is a team player... But a lot of the admiration is how she acts and talks behind the scenes. She is respectful to all other players.
Generally the "big" gets called for it against guards, even when they don't deserve it--it's part of the game. But it was clearly a foul, whether it was intentional is something only Reese knows. To me, it looks like she made kind of a clumsy swipe at the ball and didn't really care (or maybe was happy) that Clark's head was in the way.
I think Angel's best defense is she was going for the ball and was unaware of where CC's head was. Still a flagrant in my book because you should be more aware of other players and not be so reckless. Getting smacked in the back of the head mid jump could be dangerous.
And off the court Clark is a master at media. She’s respectful, classy, and intelligent. Always gives props to other players and refuses to participate in the mud slinging. At 22, that’s impressive.
Bullying is hard stop without learning the hard ways, the more they get away with it the more they depend on it. Counseling and through physical and emotional and actually visit abuse people, it helps to understanding how wrong it is.
I did like the how Caitlin's teammates came to her aid to help her up when that flagrant foul was caused by Angel. Get on Caitlin's team to have her back to pick her up

Angel thought she was in the perfect place to get bragging rights on Caitlin Clark if she blocked one of her shots.... Angel got a little too excited, went a bit too hard, and messed up the timing. I honestly don't think it was intentional, because I guarantee Angel would much rather have had that big block on Caitlin, which is a play she could use forever as an "I got you" moment, than a F1 against her. And I'm definitely a Clark fan.

actually, before the elbows got tangled up, the defender reached out and made contact with CC...and what CC tried to do was use her left arm to shield/block the defender away, but the defenders arm/elbow got caught, so the defender decided to lock and load onto the elbow to elbow hold
It wasn't dirty and the refs made the right decision giving a flagrant one. That sort of crap doesn't phase CC, if anything it just makes her play better.
Sunday, Father's Day, was just learning of your channel. Great Video. Reese is a very good player she is not great when it comes to interviews. She has this part where she likes to put into much of what she thinks. Her hit on Clark, I feel, was going for the ball maybe thinking she hits Clark's head so what a foul but some getting back of the past times. The announcer stated this had to be called, though some have not, for hitting Clark above the shoulders and it had to be a F=foul, for hitting the head being a WNBA rule. I had seen Reeve in a prior game being grabbed from behind by the neck. Reese knows how this feels. I believe when these two play in a few future years together we may see the same from Reese. Maybe ten years down the line Reese will not feel less on doing this. Both players should become leagues by their ending time.
Check the fiba USA women basketball 2019-2021 Caitlin was there she got 3 gold medals on those years . She also won MVP. Check that out she was outstanding!!!!

Reese should have just come out and said, "Yeah, it was a mistake I was going for the ball and she was moving faster then I thought." Yet, she comes out acting as if they were wrong and favoring CC. That is why people don't trust her, or care for her much.
This is good info. A talented offensive player like CC knows how to initiate these things and sometimes it's up to the defensive player to know how to avoid looking dirty.
If angel reese never stood up when carter pushed clark this wouldn't be an issue, people think it's intentional because she stood up and cheered her thug teammate on.
CC in the post game interview called it a game play. She is a class act and doesn’t complain, so take her at her word. If she feels she is getting assaulted, she’ll push back. The more these incidents are promoted as a racial issue or player abuse, the harder it will be for the league to move forward. As it was suggested, take away the fact it was Clark and Reese and insert two other players, would anyone care?
I think you should show all the head shots, from every game today, where every player was knocked to the floor. “ It’s just a basketball play” . I’m sure you can show at least a few hundred, just from all of today’s” basketball plays “.
Yeah, she was going for a block, and Clark, caught her elbow. I'd guess they only called, the flagrant, because of how hard, she went down ( covers their asses, if she ended up getting injured, as a result ).

Her mates need to be more assertive in their screens and picks, putting their bodies into it, holding that space. Most times if you watch closely, they just crack a pose then roll off to receive a pass. CC seems to be adjusting for this lack of play tactics and doing more to just launch a score shot.

(a) Angels was a flagrant 1 foul, not a 2. (b) Angel is a 6'3" forward playing a 5 (post) when the league average is 6'6", this will always be a challenge. People talk about her rebounds, but 60+% are offensive with put backs. Add she has no lateral, no perimeter shooting ability, and is slow getting back on defense. Don't get me wrong, she has potential, but lacks ability right now, she's a rookie. and (c) @TyBuggy TV- Thank you for pointing out when a guard hooks the defender, it's common and yes both Luka and Kyrie use it. Your league must have been real nice. I saw that everyday on actual streets, and it was always intentional. You make a few shots and someone needs to slow you down.

I think the Angel foul was at least more of a basketball play than the one who hooked the arm or Chennedy body checking her a couple weeks ago. Those were malicious. I think Angel's was overly aggressive but did not appear malicious to me.
Fair analysis ... Why do they bully ? Think about it, what if it turns out to be a Tiger Woods situation. Tiger who is Black (half) is regarded as the greatest golfer ever in a predominantly white sport. A shock !
