I was gutted for angela and carlos! I personally really enjoyed their dance and I was really hoping they'd make it to the final! They were still amazing though and I'm so proud of the progress angela has made! ❤❤
She was stitched up with never closing the show, others have done it more than once. Its obvious they wanted her out for weeks now. Very sad. She is BEAUTIFUL and did 🇮🇪 very proud. 💚💚💚
gutted to see angela and carlos leave 🥺 rewatching this dance, it was so perfectly fun and sparkly, just what strictly is to me. hope they know how well they really did x
The perfect words to describe this partnership! I have loved their dances and contribution to the show. Fingers crossed for them (although I don't want anyone to go home now).
sadly, angela & carlos are voted off the show!! maybe angela wanted to leave 'strictly' to spend more time with her kids & husband in the period leading up to christmas!!!@@snufkinhollow318
I just came back to watch this again after their elimination. She did so well to get through all the way to week 10. I was expecting her to be in the dance off but I didn't want to see her leave the competition. But if That dance partner with Gio didn't withdraw from the competition (Although I don't blame her) then she wouldn't be eliminated and made it through to the Quarter Finals.
🎉 howdy from coastal Mississippi. I truly enjoyed this dance. Full of Energy and fun. 😂 Dancing with the Stars will be having their season finale, December 5.❤ 🎉
This looked like a lot of fun!! It was amazing! 🤩 I am a little worried though for Angela this week, I really don't want her to leave yet 😢 Honestly those 7s were so harsh!! Sick and tired of Craigs repetitive negativity after basically every dance..
With Craig, he knows what he is doing and importantly, he know how to work a crowd (almost like they do in WWE lol). When he does award a ten (I'm sure he will in this season) it will be special and we will remember it- all part of the fun. Have a good one.
He's an obsessive perfectionist, he kinda reminds me of the Mail film critic Chris Tookey who used to slag off every major release This is a guy who gave Pulp Fiction 8/10, Dark Knight 5/10 & Kick Ass 2/10 Yet sung praises of campy comedies & stuff like Queen & Frost/Niton great films but not really popcorn friendly
and they had their first high score last week like how you go from one week in getting a high score and another week later ur get a low score again it doesn't make sense I ws expecting them to get at least 9's like my other favourite couples from strictly have mostly not been in the final last year will and Nancy left before the final
this seems like the bbc fiddling the votes to me, like last year when helen skelton was asked to accept 2nd place in return for regular work from the bbc!! maybe angela will be co presenting 'strictly' next year, or, 'it takes two'!!! @@jonkerr7667
Score - *8/10* Not her best dance, but two 7's was very harsh, Angela has brilliant leg action and twisting action. Her hands are always beautiful yet I felt Carlos wasn't letting her use them enough but it got better as it went on and her attitude was lacking at the start but still this is great she had energy, cleanliness, sharpness and I felt the spins and steps were really well executed. Not the best Cha Cha, but still very impressive.
Very nice! Having a Cha Cha Cha this late in the competition made me a bit nervous for her. But she did alright. Yes I felt like she could’ve done with a bit more of the hip movement and maybe a bit more of the walks there too. This also felt like a Salsa as well, so I was getting a mixture 😂. But I liked it though!
i have tipped her to win 'strictly' but when i heard she was dancing to, 'i will survive', i groaned!! as a former dj, i hated this song & only played it if it was requested!! on the assumption she hasn't gone home already, i think she will come back strongly next week!!!
Ouch, what did the choreography do to her? My God... This better not screw her over. She could have smashed this if it weren't for this weird, weird choreography. Dang it... But hey, I absolutely loved seeing her slay with such a confident attitude. She's just gotten really unlucky, completely out of her control...
2022: Carlos Gu performs a Paso dobble with Molly Rainford to "SURVIVOR" by Destiny's Child 2023: Carlos Gu dances a Cha Cha Cha with Angela Scanlon to "I Will SURVIVE" by Gloria Gaynor
I loved it and Angela has been one of my favourites overall but I fear they may be going home and sadly, she was the one who performed her dance least effectively. Overall, I really liked the 'package' - dance, song, costumes - and I loved the disco feel to go with the song too (and another comment here mentions salsa, so a bit of a mix in there) - but there was a lack of hip action. I don't think it was bad enough to warrant 7s but another comment called it "'unique and energetic" which I think perfectly sums up Angela and Carlos' contribution to the show and why I want them to stay, **EDIT** I know I often mention in my comments that the scores don't interest me and I wish it wasn't a competition but this one has bugged me because I just ran back over the previous scores on Wikipedia and the two 7s mean that Craig and Motsi are saying that Angela's Latin hasn't improved since her samba in Week 7 (which was also undermarked) or even from her jive in Week 3, which is ludicrous. Granted, all three dances are different and have to be judged on their own merits but apart from lacking a little hip action, this was a much better performance of a cha cha cha than the Week 3 dance was of a jive.
I just watched it again, I can see it's more polished than I initially thought on Saturday. It's a TV programme. She's as good as anyone left I think. Many a strictly year there's been injustices .
Extremely disappointed that Angela and Carlos are out, I had so been looking forward to seeing their Bob Fosse number [from week 3] again even improved in the final .....
our scores: me: 7 diya: 8 kelsey: 8 owen: 8 31/40 (lowest of the week) what the hell was that choreography? anyways, i love angela and i absolutely hope she makes the final, but this was bad. her leg actions were brilliant as usual but there was a lack of hip action and the upper body was just chaos. i’m expecting her to be eliminated ngl. love her energy and personality though!
What a shame for angela to have to go .definitely unfair what could she do up against a professional dancer we could all see the outcome of tonights decision its time for nikita to go ,come on ellie dance him out girl lets make this show fair
YES AND YOUR COMMENT ABOUT THE OTHERS HAVING SOME SORT OF DANCE EXPERIENCE IS VERY TRUE .THEY ARE ALL OF THEM IN THE ENTERTAINMENT BUISNESS. SO OBVIOUSLY THEY DO HAVE SOME SORT OF DANCE EXPERIENCE .BUT NONE OF THEM ARE HAS QUALIFIED HAS LAYTON LAYTONS CAREER CENTRES AROUND THE WEST END SHOWS SO HIS DANCING ABILITY WILL BE MORE OR LESS ON THE SAME LEVEL HAS THE PROFESSIONAL DANCERS .THE OTHER CONTESTANTS WILL HAVE A CERTAIN AMOUNT OF DANCING KNOWLEDGE BUT ONLY ON AN AMATUER BASIS COMPARED TO LAYTON
Correct me if I’m wrong but I didn’t think Layton had ballroom experience what would be kind of fair even though he has some so does the others and he might have more but he is challenged with harder routines to help bring it fair
@@maureenfurmedge1917 SO DID NIGEL, WHOS BEEN DOING IT MUCH LONGER THAN LAYTON. ITS JUST AN ENTERTAINMENT SHOW AND LAYTON ISNT GOING TO WIN SO THERES NO POINT IN BEING GRUMPY ABOUT IT ANYMORE, YOU DONT HAVE TO WATCH LAYTONS DANCES AND YOU DONT HAVE TO LIKE HIM BUT YOU ALSO DONT HAVE TO HATE ON HIM.
i didn't notice them slipping but i thought the song was outmoded tosh! i don't think they will go home tonight because angela is the only reason many people watch 'strictly'!!
Not a huge fan of this from Angela. Lovely straight legs applied to some complex figures, but the execution wasn't quite there. The weight was too far back to give her any chance at putting those straight legs to good use. It felt like something you'd expect to see in week 3/4, not week 10. 7
Very disappointed with the results show tonight, what on earth is going on with the public they allowed the two most entertaining couples in the dance off? It’s bad enough losing Angela but if Layton goes next week, the final two weeks will be snore fests. I consistently keep forgetting Annabel exists, Bobby and Nigel progressively look more uninterested by the week and Ellie is the only one of those 4 that are remotely entertaining, even though her answers are so predictable she says the same stuff every week. Layton and Angela are deserving finalists.
I personally didn’t like this dance of hers but still don’t think it should of sent her home as well would preferred Annabelle and Nigel should of been in the dance off as I think they are the weakest pairs but I wouldn’t be surprised to see them get through I want Layton,Bobby and Ellie in the final
Agree! Except it’s the opposite for me with Ellie and annabel. I enjoy seeing annabels progression but Ellie’s is predictable for me now and repetitive! Really going to miss Angela 😢
I agree! Unfortunately Angela is gone and due to homophobic Britain, Layton will probably go soon🙄 you said exactly what I’ve been thinking, Bobby, Nigel and Annabel don’t catch my eye! While yes, Ellie is a fabulous dancer it looks like she isn’t enjoying it like other on contestants are (or were) 💓💓 I was rooting for Angela to make it to at least the semifinals, but I hope Layton can
I love Angela but, sadly, did not think it was her best dance. Something seemed off. The choreography was a bit strange for a chacha ( too disco) and she missed her timings a couple of times. She normally gives flawless performances though, so I hope this won't hurt her too much.
8. Wasn't expecting this to be great. Lacked hip action but made up for it with decent energy. The choreography was atrocious though. I'm voting for her as she still deserves to stay. Also it's quite hard to enjoy the dance when the singing is horrible. I will survive has been done better in the past
@@BasicYTHandleit's pretty clear it's a cha cha cha due to the song And it had cha cha cha qualities just not done at the best. Choreographer did her dirty
as a former dj, i only played this 'drunk women' song, if it was requested!! it will be a disaster for the show if angela leaves tonight! not that i think she will, because the marks are quite close! she might have to survive a dance off however!!!
The singing was great for me. Her tone and phrasing were on the money. She's not Gloria Gaynor though and of-course, nobody could sing it like her. Disagree with you on that. In fact for me, the _music_ deserved better: Better choreography as you observed. I still like Angela and I really hope she's back next week.
@@reesemorgan2259This song has been sung on strictly multiple times in the past way better than this. In the 2022 finals at the start of the 2022 cast dance it was sung beautifully. I also hope Angela stays my 3 votes went to her
Next is Angela Scanlon and Carlos Gu dancing the Cha Cha Cha. Very Mamma Mia vibes on this dance. I think because because the standard is getting higher it gets badly visible when someone is not keeping up and unfortunately Angela is not keeping up, I could see that her and the dance did not fit each other and instead of going for it Angela held back and because of this the dance looked a little awkward. plus the dance, there was nothing that stood out of the dance for me sorry. I think Angela is amazing and Carlos is great and there pairings is one of my favourites this year and I can see they maybe in danger of going home. I think this pairing is great no matter what and really enjoyed there dance last week.
Angela danced the dance she was given. Her cha cha technique was excellent, hip and leg movement superb. But I agree that the choreography was poor. Whose fault is that.? strictly didn’t get to see the best of Angela Scanlan. She had at least one more week in her and the show would have been the better for that. Shirley was right. She did not deserve to go but against two gays she hadn’t a chance. Craig never gave her the mark she deserve at any dance. It’s sad when a glimpse of bias appears.
Ya I agree with Motsi there was rigidity in her legs and knees . Yes it’s ok with ballroom dancing but not with the likes of Latinos , the knees the waist the shoulders they must move baby that’s it.
I get that Carlos is still a new professional but he's still a professional and should know how to choreograph better than this, he's had some dodgy pieces this series and it's such a shame because the celebrity has no choice but to do what has been choreographed. Real shame
I felt there was something off about their dance when I first watched it last week, and rewatching it this week my opinion is that, choreography might have been part of the issue. But also the song. Not even the fact that it's disco. It's a classic breakup song. Women enpowerment. And queer empowering too, but all about being yourself, independent. A song like tbat... how does that work for a chacha, let alone a couples dance?
I guess I just did not really see what judges saw. I did not really see all straight legs. It looked a bit jerky to me. Damn it, I love Angela but this was not her dance. Sorry.
She needs to let loose this was a let down compared to last week it was still good and a fun watch but nowhere near the same standard as last week 8/10
People need to vote!! After last week's phenomenal dance, not sure what happened. Something's not right about the choreography tonight. And the judges were not helpful at all. Especially Craig whose turning a lot of people off. I like t.his couple and Angela looked gorgeous tonight. 8/10
@@taliagmail.com2005 depends the dance i think. If bobby get salsa or rumba. They will be in danger, but nigel not yet dance charleston, you know katya good on that dance
This wasn’t a suitable dance for Angela, so she is gone we have seen some good celebrities dancers go because of the dance they performed on the night so, yes this one of those things. But really sorry to see her go!
I agree on the awful choreography, who did that? Not Carlos, hes got a feel for Latin . Craigs anti Irish misogynistic undermarking of Angela Scanlon has gone way past a joke to being public bullying on a publicly owned broadcast service. There is no way that a score as low as 7 was warrented its a repeated attempt by Craig to save the Layton/Nikita combo which has been in obvious trouble now for a while with admissions from Layton - a West End star that "Ballroom isnt their thing"!! This combination has been overmarked by West End Choreographer Craig since the start despite their persistent refuge in free work because of failures in partnering/consistency in Lead or /follow in hold. And Layton is a Dancer not a journalist/Mum of 2. Fairs fair please Craigs vitriolic agenda should not be allowed to succeed at the continuing expense of Angela.
Yikes. She does not have the dance floor personality for that solo start. She looked like a stage school kid with her mum coaching her in the correct mood to assume. Dry bad time in the competition to have a cha cha. In week 3 or 4 maybe, but now? Hmmmm.
angela was unlucky to have the cha cha cha!! a ballroom dance would have seen her through!! the over all standard last night was good but not exceptional!!!@@dajtoad1
Craig West End Choreographer saves his buddy fellow West End Pro Layton for Musicals week - and its like early Christmas for a nasty piece of work like Craig to use his underperforming proffessional pet to dispatch a decent hardworking Irish Woman who has been the focus of his misogynistic Anti Irish vitriol for weeks. - Strictly keeping to its rules for the final - no Blacks(unless employed by the BBC), No Irish - but they've broken their dogs rule - Craig is the lowest cur dog I've ever seen. I'm embarrassed for the crookedness of the judging panel when Layton admitted on camera "he dosnt do ballroom" and has failed to dance "in hold " throughout the series but has not be marked down for it and was weak in this mess of a dance this week. Only Shirley was fair but the other judges bent to Craigs will despite giving glowing comments to Angela on her superior technical delivery on poor choreography not crafted by Carlos. Both Carlos and Angela know what it is to be discriminated against, they will survive this - but they shouldn't have had to endure this level of bullying dishonesty and disrespect just to provide entertainment.
@@rosepetal34 Yes he probably has and thats not right either, but in this case he got a free ride here on the back of somebody else who has also been discriminated against as a Woman , a working mother and an Irish person. I would just wish for absolute integrity with no agendas from the judging panel or the show producers - then the dancing would triumph over any identity.
yep she's my fav out of all that's left & hope she make's the final , i know i keep sayin it but her foot placement & leg action is amazing & to my most hated song ever i hate this bleedin song lol 😂🤢
@@taliagmail.com2005 what? It's not a competition! It's entertainment! A competition is supposed to be fair for all involved, not having people with dance experience against people who don't.
