So, showcasing his voice was not his number one motivation. In fact, I think that the more you get to know Dimash you see that showcasing himself is never his first motivation. This was a prayer for the world. The traditional “Ave Maria” is a Christian hymn, so this reimagining by Igor Krutoy (composer and pianist) was done in a nondenominational way. Dimash is Muslim and Igor is Jewish, so it makes sense that it would only be a vocalize with no lyrics. But like you said, he captivates the audience regardless.

If I'm not mistaken, this “Ave Maria” by composer and conductor Igor Krutoy is a work in vocalize format, completely unpublished, although it seems to be a variation of the initial theme (not the introduction but the singing part) of the melody by Schubert adapted to Dimash's voice in order to explore just as three initial notes and changing the fourth note to a higher note (From B4, A4 D#4 C#4 and B4 to G#4, G4, G4, D#5): Like a leap from "dark to light" which is the same contrast as Dimash's outfit (from dark to light)! It also seems to refer to the Russian V. Vavilov's version of "Ave Maria" (wrongly credited to Caccine) and work by JS Bach - Prelude No. 1 in C major, BWV 846, with arrangements by Gounod, which Maetro Igor Krutoy has a predilection for!
