Ceci! I knew you were going to have great things to say about this one :) Not only did Angelina capture the intended feeling of this song, but her video was beautifully done. It was a project that included a lot of her family. Her grandmother worked on the set design, and the kids you see in the video are her little sister and her cousins! Its only flaw was that it ended ;)

Rusty, as you seem to be somewhat close to the family I have a question. This song (not really a cover but a total makeover) displays a dramatic new dimension to AJ's voice. The opening phrase was shockingly penetrating. She projected without belting. Can't explain it in any better way. Then I watched her performance of "I Have Nothing" at the Norway concert. Two stunning diva-level performances. In addition, her attire, tastefully exhibited, shows how beautiful she has become. It almost seems as though she and her team are making a statement: "Look out, she's coming." The question is whether this is, in fact, the objective of her team. If so, I suspect they have at least a few songs already in the can ready for release. I actually hope not because the way her voice continues to develop suggests that in a few years she will have no equal contemporaneously or otherwise.

@@foghorn90leghorn73 She has said in a recent interview that the album will be her original songs, so I think they have many of them already in the can. As far as the "look out, she's coming"... I think that is less her team and more herself. She has been waiting to burst onto the scene for most of her life. I think this is more of a statement from her saying "Look out world, here I come"

@@RustyShacklefordChannel I think you are absolutely right. There was a noticeable leap in the depth and quality of her voice along with the presentation being more professional and "adult". It gives you the feeling that she has turned a corner in her own mindset that the period of preparation and growing up is over, now it's time to take it to the next level and formally introduce herself to the industry. Look out world, the explosion is about to happen.

Perhaps you already know this, but Angelina herself told years ago why she always performs barefoot. Being a kid, at 8-10, she met a younger poor, very poor girl, without shoes. I can't remember now if Angie gave the girl her own shoes but anyway she made sort of a vow or commitment; she'd always perform barefoot. And it's very nice to seee that's she's now 16 and she continues faithful to her commitment. This speaks a lot about her human quality.

Qué bueno verte reaccionar con Angelina nuevamente, Ceci, es una reacción hermosa. 😍 Angelina siempre ha sido maravillosamente atractiva, pero su voz se vuelve cada vez más cálida y profunda y esta versión más lenta de esta icónica canción es realmente genial, mucho más. cerrar a la emoción del texto en comparación con la versión de Elvis. No se olvide que ella tambien es una compositora / autor que ha creado cinco canciones originales, tres de los cuales podrían ser éxitos en sus generos. Ella no es lo que llamaríamos "Pop" apesar de tener el talento para ser una sensación pop. Ella es más artística y su mejor género, como lo ha notado Ceci, es el Jazz. Y ese no es un género que se considera "mainstream" or en la corriente dominante del gusto popular. Espero que su primer álbum oficial va a contener muchas canciones originales.

Great reaction to analysis! What a rendition! Her Gandma Mery produced this. Looks like she used the same store she used for My Funny Valentine! Her sister Juliette was the older girl. The 2 younger girls are her Uncle Mike's kids, and, of course, 2 time Grammy winner Rob Christie on piano. What a great cover! The beehive hairstyle was to honor Priscilla Presley and the time period she met Elvis. I was not expecting this! Funny thing is, this was almost 4 minutes, but it flew by and felt short! Going to listen to it again! 16 years old….Wow!!! What a performance!

Gracias Ceci !! A mi me voló la cabeza Angelina con esta versión. Obvio se escucha muy diferente a sus primeros videos. Tiene todo ese dominio de su voz que usted bien dice y nota. Después de repetir la canción unas 60 veces le encuentro detalles cada vez. ¿ Las niñas no se le figuran una cronología de Angelina ?, la tercer niña es su hermana que igual ya está enorme. The Cinemaphotography, a total MASTERPIECE. Great touch, the nieces and sister get a cameo. Mery, you should be so proud. Excellent ART Cole McCarthy! Oh, the tears, and loss of breath, she is like no other in the universe. Here is a classic example of what this ethereal talent, Angelina Jordan, can achieve she takes a mundane song and turns it in to phenomenal classic. Angelina at 16 is the MASTER of her universe, she is top priority for both Stargate, and Rob Christie Republic Records Studio Director at Universal Music Group Manhattan Beach, California. Rob has been playing the piano on most of AJ's studio production performances. AJ's voice has been unique since she was 7 years old and now at 16, she controls us as an audience, leaving us hang on every word and phrase. She has written a number of songs.

Angelina es lo más de lo más que he escuchado en los últimos tiempos. Sin que tengan que ver, la paz que me trasmite es la misma que cuando escucho a Eva Cassidy, y me conmueve sobremanera como lo hacía Amy Whinehouse; solo que Angelina a su vez es única. Maravillosa.

Angelina never ceases to amaze me, at just how incredibly talented she is, and that she can take her voice to newer levels, we have never heard before.....there is something so special about her ability, to tell the songs story, allowing us to listen with a new perspective, and hear & feel emotions, we may not have heard from the original artist 💖💖💖 Not only her voice, but her delivery is also her gift!

Está es una rendición a una canción de Elvis, es algo que no se debe olvidar comentar, por eso te paso eso Ceci, debes conocer la canción. Hay tantas cosas que ocurren en ese vídeo que son pistas para un homenaje a Elvis. No siempre se trata de Angelina. Por su parte Angelina,...excelente, sigue creciendo.

Thanks Cerci, have been waiting for your reaction . You are one of my favorite reactors for Angelina. Agree, the only negative of Angelina's performances is that they are to short. Six to eight minutes would be awesome.

Ceci, Angelina is dropping masterpiece vocals every day. Yesterday she released this beautiful Elvis re-interpretation of Suspicious Minds & today she sang at the Singing Along the Border Concert in Norway, live on national TV. I've been waiting 3 1/2 years for her to revisit Whitney Houston's I Have Nothing in her own style with a more mature voice. Well, my wish came true today & it is stunning. I hope you can react to this soon. OH NO. the link has been taken down. I've heard TV 2 will put it out tomorrow after editing. If I find it tomorrow, I will send it to you.

Divina,,, nos das luz en la apreciación de la musica, me encanta la musica y la musica y cantantes mexicanos tienen unos matices inigualables, unas notas con inigualable vibrato que traen en el ADN. de sus ancestros, nada mas escuchar cuando empieza a tocar un mariachi, a mi me da una emoción en el pecho y electricidad en todo el cuerpo, que percibo que siente la mayoría de quienes los escucha...estoy viendo el video Luis Angel , El flaco" y también vi el del primo,,, no si son irrepetibles, gracias por tu dedicación y sensibilidad de tu gusto
