Great first reaction! i just subscribed for more Angelina. Starting to sing at age 18 months she was the best ever for her age. At 6,7,8,9 the best singer at each of those ages. From ages 10,11 and 12 she became a better singer than most 20~30 year olds. Then at 13, 14 she started to overtake some of the best singers now alive. currently from 15, 16 and going foreword she is better than over 90% of any singer past or present. Just my opinion, but who else is capable of taking ANY song and making it as good or better than the original? Can't wait to watch your reaction to about 160 Angelina videos. Thanks from Alaska

Speaking of Norah Jones, she saw Angelina Jordan sing amazing jazz songs from age 7 and was really impressed. In fact, when Norah Jones was to perform her sold out concert of 40,000 people in Korea, she invited Angelina to open her concert at the age of 11 years old. When Angelina was 12, Quincy Jones asked her if she would open his 85th birthday concert in London. She sang the Frank Sinatra classic "Fly Me to the Moo At the age of 8, she was invited to sing at the 2014 Nobel Peace Prize concert singing "What a Wonderful World" by Louis Armstrong These are just a few of the notable places Angelina performed at. You have fallen into the vortex of Angelina Jordan who arguably brings the most confident, versatile, seemingly effortless, and fearless vocal artistry found today (whether measured across artists, genres, or decades). Angelina signed with Republic Records at age 14 but her family requested she be allowed as normal a childhood as possible so she remains unknown to most people. Please read the biography I compiled for Angelina. Born Angelina Jordan Astar on January 10, 2006 in Oslo, Norway to her Norwegian mother, Sara Astar and her Swedish father, Gerry Christian Slattman. Angelina started singing around 18 months of age, after listening to Whitney Houston on RU-vid. She quickly became obsessed with listening to music videos and her maternal grandmother, Mery Zamani got Angelina interested in classic jazz. Mery Zamani is Iranian and was considered a prodigy as an artist and poet while growing up in Iran. Angelina speaks Norwegian, Farsi, English, Japanese and Swedish. Angelina attended the Oslo Waldorf School and participated in the Oslo School of Music and Performing Arts after-school program, where starting around age 4, she had training in music but no vocal training. Angelina, at age 6 and 7, did record a few songs in a recording studio at her school, most notably “I Who Have Nothing”, a truly remarkable performance for a 7 year old. At age 7, Angelina’s audition on Norway’s Got Talent, was a cover of Billie Holiday’s “Gloomy Sunday”, a song which was banned by a number of European countries during World War II because authorities worried the song would increase the suicide rate. Truly bizarre that this is the song to launch the career of a child musical prodigy. One of the judges on NGT cried. Angelina had turned 8 years old for her next performance on NGT, covering Billie Holiday’s “I’m a Fool to Want You” singing acapella which was required by NGT unless the singer also played an instrument while singing. This was the Judge’s cut round of the competition and was not performed in front of an audience. In the Semi Final round of NGT, Angelina sang “Bang Bang” which was written by Sonny Bono and was first performed by his wife Cher but is best known sung by Nancy Sinatra. The improvement in each performance is incredible even though there were only a couple months between them. In the Finals, Angelina did a cover of George Gershwin’s, “Summertime” and won the contest, capturing 46% of the votes from the ten finalists. Nice reaction! She actually opened for Norah Jones at a concert in Seoul in 2017. This performance, which aired on January of 2020 was the first time I heard of her and I've been a fan since. In my opinion, she is becoming the most talented singer I have ever seen in my 52 years of life. Currently 16, she sings like a seasoned performer with decades of experience under her belt. I’ve been waiting for you to react to Angelina since the days you discovered Home Free! Great to see you getting there, and getting her! This girl was asked by Norah Jones to help her out (Norah was running late for her show for 40,000 in Seoul in 2017), which she did by confidently singing to the enormous crowd - at 11 years old. She had been on stage in the earlier part of the day, and I hope somebody gives you the link to “Crazy”. AGT was all recorded at the end of Oct 2019, start to finish, so Angelina was 13 then, but turned 14 four days after this went out. Queen immediately praised her on all their social media, and gave her their permission to copyright her version. Just this short one, though, don’t think she’s done the whole yard, - yet! Sadly, Angelina’s paternal grandfather died in March 2018 and her maternal grandfather died in November 2019. Angelina’s maternal grandmother Mery Zamani has had tremendous influence on Angelina and her career as she introduced Angelina to Jazz at early age. Mery is famous Iranian contemporary writer, poet and painter who was also child prodigy herself being on Radio Iran's Children program at age 4 and began writing poetry and painting by age of 9. Later Mery was trained in art at Tokyo Academy in Japan where she met her husband, who was Japanese, during her master degree's training in Japan. I am going to post a list of songs that "I" feel are must listen to. These start when Angelina was 6 years old and end with her at her present age of 16. Everyone has their favorites, but I think these show her vocal range and her ability to sing ANY genre she chooses. Just my opinion. Its funny you mentioned Norah Jones because Norah has taken more than a passing interest in AJ and has taken her on tour with her and had her warm up the crowd for her as young as 10yo. The clips I have seen of those performances she had the crowds eating out of her hand and to be honest most Jazz fans know who this girl is and have been waiting for her to start her career for a long time. AJ has been the worst kept secret among the A-list crowd in the entertainment industry. She has been performing at celebrity fundraisers for children's charities and similar events since winning Norway's Got Talent at 8yo (Auditioned at 7yo, won at 8yo). This has resulted in quite the following among that A-list crowd and she even performed at Quincy Jones' 85th BD party in London at his request. She has done command performances in front of royalty and heads of state in Norway. It could easily be said she is considered one of Norway's national treasures and you will see that in the fearce defence of her by her fans.
