Welcome to Angelina's world. She is an extraordinary young artist with over 140 covers and other videos that she has recorded between the ages of 6 and 15 which is her current age. She won Norway's Got Talent at the age of 8 and has already established herself as an accomplished Jazz artist. Her preferred genre is Jazz but she has done covers of about every genre you can name. What you will find in Angelina is a vocalist who doesn't do vocal gymnastics, she simply and beautifully interprets the story and meaning of the song and pours her soul into every performance. Angelina has sung all over the world for Nobel Laureates, heads of state, music icons, and other dignitaries. She has performed everywhere from small weddings of a few people, to London's O2 stadium, and Seoul South Korea with 40,000 people. She performs at jazz festivals, conferences, and charity benefits. At the age of 15, she is a seasoned performer with 8 years of recording and performing. Many of her live performances when she was 10, 11, and 12 years old blow away even the original adult performers of the songs she sings. She is definitely worth your time to experience and get to know. She has covered Sinatra, Elvis, Aretha Franklin, Billie Holiday, Queen, Miley Cyrus, Patsy Cline, James Brown, Lana Del Rey, Norma Jones, Adele, Ella Fitzgerald, Amy Winehouse, Michael Jackson, Screamin Jay Hawkins, and many more. Angelina wanted to impress Simon and got the highest praise from the legendary Queen. Queen are enthusiastic about Angelina's arrangement. Queen shared Angelina's performance on their official Twitter account with the words "WOW, what a rendition". 💯 *AJ* 💯

This is just one of her many Masterpieces she has created over the last 7 years. In my 74 years, I have never seen a more versatile artist who can sing any style or genre of music you want to hear at a world-class level. She is a human jukebox of music & I've subscribed for more Angelina reactions. Before you venture back to hear the "baby" Angelina perform, I recommend you hear her today at 15, since this Bohemian Rhapsody was prerecorded almost 2 years ago (Oct 2019). Her most recent release from 2 weeks ago is her "cover" of Michael Jackson's Billie Jean which is my current favorite performance. Angelina has created her own arrangements, seemingly from birth. She is a true music prodigy who works very hard to improve. Hello Giovanna. Pleasure to meet you. Enjoyed your analysis of this Angelina Jordan performance. You highlighted many subtle effects in her singing. As you go along, and I hope you do continue to react to Angelina videos, I expect that you'll find that Angelina's tone and her musicality make her performances stand out. Those nuances you found in her singing technique is part of Angelina's interpretive essence. This performance was a competition piece where belting was virtually obligatory to impress the judges. Angelina is an old-style singer who does not need to make her living with lots of vocal pyrotechnics. Although, she can belt them out when the occasion calls for it. She is a true prodigy, details of which have already been posted in other comments. So there is no need to repeat that information here. For a next reaction I add my vote to those requesting "I Put A Spell On You." (Black and White, B&W, version - important) Angelina is 9 years and 2 months of age at the time of that recording. She performs it in the style of the song's creator, Screaming Jay Hawkins (1956). You may find it informative to check out Screaming Jay's rendition before watching Angelina. To dig deeper into the prodigy aspect of Angelina, try her 4 performance videos from Noway's Got Talent in 2014. Angelina turned 8 years old during the taping of those shows. Three videos that I know of that went viral were her Norway's Got Talent audition, where she sang Billie Holiday's version of "Gloomy Sunday;" her performance of "I Put A Spell On You (previously cited), and Bohemian Rhapsody, which you reacted to here. You have no idea. Be prepared to challenge your assumptions once you take some time down the rabbit hole and gain more perspective about Angelina. Technically she began learning jazz before she was two years old and attended a school for the Arts in Oslo where she received voice coaching before she was in first grade. Her family are not musicians but supported her interest in music. Most of her major influences are from the 40’s and 50’s. Her family purposely put off signing a record deal until last January to give here the best chance at enjoying her childhood. Within the last few years she performed at the conference for the international piece prize, America’s Got Talent Champions, Sang at the O2 arena in London for the 85th birthday celebration for Quincy Jones, signed a record deal, released her own material and just last month produced her first movie score for the movie The Hating Game with the cover Mercy. You’ll find that Angelina is an anomaly, atypical or a generational artist. She has the genetics, talent, work ethic, support system, musicality and artistic creativity to be a Whitney, Celine, Streisand, Carpenter. That’s of course if the music business doesn’t chew her up. She won $75,000 usd when she won the Norways Got Talent. She donated 100% to children’s charities which is a small portion of what she has raised for those in need. The world needs more young people like Angelina.

Non ti offendere, ma per entrare nel mondo di Angelina Jordan Astar (nomen omen) bisogna lasciare da parte i tecnicismi, abbassamenti della laringe, ecc…, è conosciuta come la cantante delle mille voci, per lasciarsi andare alle emozioni che trasmette. Magari serve portarsi appresso i fazzoletti. Qui ha 13 anni e fa un nuovo arrangiamento di una canzone epica davanti ad un pubblico enorme senza alcun timore, ottenendo i complimenti degli stessi Queen, che gli lasciano il copyright alla sua versione. Non solo. L’abito che indossa l’ha disegnato lei assieme alla nonna artista. A sette anni ha vinto il Talent in Norvegia, adesso ha 15 anni ed è stata scritturata da Republic Record, una delle più importanti case discografiche mondiali come artista con la massima priorità. Ha musicato e scritto 5 canzoni e altre due sono state scritte per lei, oltre a quasi 150 cover, alcune meglio dell’originale e tutte con la sua chiara impronta. AJ parla norvegese, farsi (iraniano), svedese, giapponese intermedio. Queste erano le lingue parlate nella sua famiglia! L'inglese è la sua lingua appresa e solo la terza lingua su Internet.

Questa ragazza è bravissima, ma è il classico esempio di enfant prodige e come tale è portata a "copiare se stessa" e così trasforma tutte le canzoni che canta, visto che ha fatto un'enormità di cover. Poi, se vogliamo dirla tutta, questa interpretazione è solo un'esibizione di capacità vocali. Questo è il primo LP che comprai quando allora uscì e sono particolarmente legato a questo pezzo e ti dico che non ha niente a che fare con i Queen. E' un pezzo direi "duro" e direi anche e soprattutto "lirico" ( Freddy aveva una passione per la lirica) e quindi, come pezzo appartenente al "melodramma", ha continue variazioni di stato, un progressive che lei, con questo modo di esprimersi musicalmente, non può comunicare. Qui l'R&B non c'entra nulla

Sorry but you didn't give us the slightest chance to appreciate this extraordinarily amazing performance.

Sometimes I think the experts are like a person looking at great art through a microscope. Talking about the paint and the materials without appreciating the art, is wrong. You have to step back to appreciate it. yeah, she has a larynx. we all do. It says nothing about the emotion she generates or the beauty of the song.

Why do this "so called" vocal coaches stop every damn 10 seconds and blabla? I think a GOOD vocal coach listens to the WHOLE song first. ( takes notes) and later he or she can break up the song and comment on parts. Real good vocal coaches do that.. If you stop the song every 10 seconds you will never be able to feel the song. It shows that the "so called" vocal coach finds him or herself way more important than the artist he or she comments on.

This was a "taste" of AJ's ability,NOT her best song. Angelina is one of three non-American female singers who are and will shake up the music business--along with Diana Ankudinova and Danileya Tuleshova.
