A sweet little girl enters a rehearsal, cuddling her blanket....moments later she transforms into a Jazz Superstar beyond her years. Enduring hundreds of these performances shows how much hard work and diligence led to her worldwide recognition.
I love all of these peek-a-boos you share. So much goes into performances. So much of it non-glamorous. Just work. Oh. I listened today very closely to Angelina's "Shield." What a sensitive song! And it occurred to me that she wrote that song at an age where one starts to get some awareness of sacrifice made by the adults. And I don't mean sacrifice in any negative sense, but it isn't always easy to support a gifted child, let alone a beyond gifted child. Her family has done that--the hard leg work, the hours spent walking that tightrope of letting a Light shine while shielding it from the things that can snuff a Light. That kind of support---that it exists somewhere in the human world---gives me hope. Truly it does. May the sapling become a beautiful mature tree (do you have red cedars in Norway like we do up here in Washington state?) that lives long, bearing its cones (fruit) and giving much needed oxygen to the planet. Blessings to the entire family. And much abundance. 💜

When I watched this video it seemed to me that I've seen this venue on the other videos on this wonderful channel, and yes, 2 other videos from 2018, one from the rehearsal and another one from the concert were taken at the same or very similar venue during Kongsberg Jazz festival at the concert for the company which is its main sponsor. Both Angelina and Joshua Redman have participated in Kongsberg Jazz festival of 2014, so it seems to me that this video is taken during this festival and the venue belongs to the company being the festival's main sponsor.
