Also what makes this performance more endearing is that it was for a charitable cause as with many Angelina’s performances. This was an event sponsored by "Plan International", a humanitarian and development organization with the goal of advancing children's rights and equality for girls around the world. "Foster Parents" sponsor needy children around the world with monetary pledges that go directly to helping the specific children whom they sponsored and are able to communicate with them via Plan International. The event was held on December 30, 2016 at Chateau Neuf Center in Oslo and broadcast on TV2. Angelina was one of several performers and delivered a stunning performance. Most of Angelina's performances after winning Norway Got Talent at age 8 were for children charitable organizations. This Amazing young lady with the big voice and bigger heart is 16 years old now and still performs barefoot to remember the shoeless girl that she met when she was 6 years old and to remind us all of the many needy children around the world. In an interview at the age of 9 when Angelina’s book was released, she said “I care very much about children” When are we adults are going to care more about children? Of all of the young and talented female singers out there, Angelina has been single handedly raising the jazz genre back to prominence and relevancy where it belongs. She can sing in many genres and exceed at all of them, but she is especially adept at singing jazz, blues and R&B. She travels in her own lane. She has created her own jazz/blues/pop genre and we long time fans like to refer to knew listeners that become smitten with her extraordinary musical talents as being Angelinafide. Angelina is life changing force of nature. She is completely legit. Her voice has a healing affect.

Go to a song you do recognize perhaps Queens, " Bohemian Rhapsody". Angelina did her 1st audition in AGT Champions 2 and an incredible rendition of Bohemian Rhapsody.
I agree that would be a good one to see. But, it wasn't an audition. All contestants on the Champions version of AGT are there by invitation b/c they have won in various other GT venues (Norway, in Angelina's case). Bohemian Rhapsody was her Round 1 performance. As she received the Golden Buzzer from Heidi, she did not have to compete again until the finals, where she performed an Angelina version of Elton John's "Goodbye Yellow Brick Road".
Many have said she should be singing the next Bond movie. Angelina has stated on more than one occasion that she never gets nervous when performing live.
Angelina is a one of a kind, as I (and a "few" others) see it. I have no doubt about the uniqueness of Angelina`s talent for music. As I see it; - from what you have heard so far, I`d strongly recomand that you put your ear and mind to the very start in public for Angelina. It is a great one to carry allong with you as you go further into the amazing universe of Angelina. She auditioned for the NGT show by taking on Billie Holiday songs, as you probably know already. Her first one, "Gloomy Sunday", I had stored far far back in my mind from many many decades ago, from the time as Billie was on the radio more frequently. Then suddenly one evening this tiny little angel showed up on TV here in Norway, singing her heart out, sounding so much like Billie, and even conveying the mood and spirit of the song so stunningly well. Angelina is very aware of her talent. She also appreciates the steps that her family has taken to allow her to develop and nurture that talent. She wrote a song about it: “Shield”. Pretty amazing insight into life for a 12 year old girl.
Angelinas parents have always wanted her to live as much normal life as any child. Go to school, play with friends. It was Angelina herself that discovered that she liked jazz. So she listened to old grammofonrecords and sang along. The parents also wanted Angelina to get an education in school before signing contracts with the music industry.
The Brass Band tour with Angelina in Norway until she moved to California five years later, went she turned 15. She also signed with Republic Records with complete creative control over arranging her original songs and covers. Angelina released two original songs under Republic Records in the first year. My favorite video production this year was her version of Elvis Presley's "Suspicious Minds," which showcases Angelina's mature voice and her brilliant arrangement of this classic song making it hers.

Another one at age 10 was just her and a guitar on a rooftop singing “Every time we say goodbye”. It really shows the tonality in her voice. Most of her best covers are just her and either a piano or a guitar.

Nina Simone's rendition is considered 'The Gold Standard' for this song, but after hearing this personally arranged rendition by her at 10, to me this is 'The Platinum Standard' for the song. Have never heard a better version, by any other singer.
Angelina has covered Adele numerous times, and a Bond song "Diamonds are Forever"(one of her favorites). Her own original "Shield" has a decidedly Bond feel to it (which she did intentionally). Yep, 10 was a banner year with some incredible hallmark songs across many genres. Basically she learned to sing just shortly after learning to speak. She employed the same mimicking techniques we all do just for language but her toddler age imprinting were the greats, Ella, Billie, Nina, Adele, Amy. This made her very adept and with an usual larynx at an early age she had all the tools and the talent to put it all together unlike any other. It all came first. Not having to unlearn habits is an enormous advantage. She has a singers dream voice.

It's interesting that you should mention James Bond theme songs. You need to check out her outdoor performance in Norway of the Bond song "Diamonds Are Forever" which was originally done by Shirley Bassie. Angelina is ELEVEN and kills it (even with the accompanying band being a bit too loud and "drowning", plus it being a fan-made video from someone in the audience)! Also, her original song "Shield" which she wrote at age 12 and performed on a live TV talk show in Norway. It has a very strong James Bond vibe and is an absolutely beautiful tribute to her family "shielding" and protecting her as she grows up and into her music career.
Just so you know for future reference. The Diamonds are forever" video was recorded on a cellphone by Boris Palenovski, an Angelina Super Fan , who had permission to record it. No professional video was produced.

One thing that Angelina's fans look for is that the Reactor supports the artist to whom they are reacting, and I cannot stress how important this is. (6) The way Angelina used her left arm and hand throughout the performance (7) The way she changed the microphone from her right hand to left hand, so that she could flip her hair back. (8) The cheeky smile she gave to the cameraman when she realised he had focused on her at about 4.12 in your reaction video. (9) The almost instantaneous switch from "performance" mode to that of a young child who,curseyed and gave a sweet smile to the audience as an acknowledgement of their applause. Others have commented that the performance by Nina Simone should be considered the "gold" standard for this song. Until recently, I had never watched her performance, but have now done so. Sir, as vocal experts pointed out, Angelinas larynx is slightly bigger than usual (happens more often, than you think), so her vocal chords ar longer, ergo deeper voice, BUT her speaking voice is more what you expect of a young girl, only you can hear the rasp and sometimes huskiness. Aurora will have a concert at the same stage (at Kongsberg Jazzfestival) that Angelina performed this summer. Imagine Angelina returning to Norway next summer and they performed at the same concert!

They said that everything became a microphone. So at 6, she speak read and write in Norwegian, Persian and English. I raised kids and grandkids. At 6 they want to sing the ABC's or other children songs not "I who have nothing muchless in a 2nd language and then totally killing the song. It's like another reactor said, her voice is like a drug. I believe that we are witnessing a once in a generation talent. This child has been blessed by the hand of God. Peace and Calm Seas ✌🛥
Angelina made her commitment to highlight child poverty by always performing publicly without shoes when she was SIX. So, putting aside anything else related to her empathy and altruism, she was already identifying as a singer even before she had set foot on a stage. She had already adopted a stage name before her NGT audition; possibly years before! That goes a little bit further than confidence in my opinion. I've said before that childhood was just an inconvenience for her singer persona (if she even had another). Her musical intellect operated early on at a genius level which accelerated her instrument's development. Just occasionally it failed to keep up but it has always been while taking risks when there were much easier paths she could take. Other things I admire are her willingness to put herself out there and her evident determination not to subconsciously copy. Singers know when they have made a mistake and she exists at a time when correcting errors or re-recording content is only a few minutes extra effort. But whether it's her conscientious devotion to the truth, a laissez-faire attitude or a limited attention threshold, Angelina's philosophy appears to be: "Here's what happened. I avoided poring over the original so yeah, I mis-read a word I'd never seen or heard before," or, in one video she uploaded: "Yeah, I had to clear my throat mid-verse but I'm moving on so you should too." Who does that? Which artist in any field of endeavour puts out work with flaws they could easily correct? She is special and it's a view I would hold even if she couldn't sing a note.

@@shodanrich3317 I agree, but there are cultural differences. And at this fundraising event it was not a natural thing to go completely crazy even if people understood they were witnessing something really historical. I myself have been present at at least 3 musical legendary moments with Angelina, all if us there understood what was happening, but there was little screaming and shouting. Regarding NGT, standing ovation is a natural element of the show, if there is something special. At the Akershus concert there was also a standing ovation, the reasons was it's a mans world was the final song in that concert, (even if I think that moment was a special moment in music history)
