Tiny Little Girl Our tiny little girl with the grownup voice was 17 on Jan. 10, 23 and is now 6'1" tall and could be a super model, but I hope the major portion of her career will be dedicated to her music and taking the world to a better place. I don't think she even realizes this power she holds over us and the need to hear that signature voice to fill that empty void within all of us. Angelina Jordan is in fact the "Benchmark" for all other vocalist to try as they might to achieve. I have a number of pictures of celebrities whose height is known, for example, Austin Butler, who played Elvis, is 6ft tall, and AJ published a picture of her standing next to him, she was at least 1 inch taller than him, and she had to look down at him.
10 was a big year for her. Her version, rooftop appearance, of Everytime We Say Goodbye is captivating. She stands right next to Ella Fitzgerald as she delivers sweet deliberate slow perfect placement. And the controversial Im Still Holding Out For You cover will stand out as one of her best ever.
Nina Simone's rendition of this song is considered 'The Gold Standard', and that's after many A-list artists performed it. Here, you have a 10 year old girl that is giving us 'The Platinum Standard', for I have never experienced it being done to the level she is able to do.
Thank you for another reaction to Angelina. It's unfortunate that you did not play to the end of the video, as you missed the shy curtsy she gave to the audience in appreciation of their applause. In my opinion, she is the best singer in the world, and there are thousands of others who would agree with me. Every moment you spend featuring her on your channel will being you great emotional satisfaction. Please don't leave it so long before you feature Angelina again. There are so many things I get from this performance. Some I recognised immediately and those I missed were brought to my attention by the more observant Angelina fans (her Angels) and I thank them for letting me know what I had missed. (1) The realisation that at the age of 10 Angelina has shed all childishness from her voice. (2) A feeling that the placement of the spotlight at the beginning of her performance was deliberate. If it was, then, to my mind, it was a brilliant move. (3) The fact that Angelina arranged this song and that the band kept out of the way and let her voice be the focus. (4) The incredible low note she sang for the word "good" at the beginning and end of the performance. (5) That wonderful crescendo at the end. (6) The was Angelina used her left arm and hand throughout the performance (7) The way she changed the microphone from her right hand to left hand, so that she could flip her hair back with her right hand. (8) The cheeky smile she gave to the cameraman when she realised he had focused on her at about 2.34 in your reaction video. (9) The sideways look and grin she gives to her instrumentalists just after she curtsies to the audience -- as if to say, "Yeah, we killed it, guys! Now let's go get some ice cream!" (10) The almost instantaneous switch from "performance" mode to that of a young child who,curseyed and gave a sweet smile to the audience as an acknowledgement of their applause. Others have commented that the performance by Nina Simone should be considered the "gold" standard for this song. Until recently, I had never watched her performance, but have now done so. If it’s Al Sang you’re referring to, it’s not worth watching after seeing this one. This is superior, by far. It’d be a waste of time. She has far too many great performances to react to. Why would you want to watch a ‘lesser’ version of the same song?
@@frankiek2269 No, Allsang Pa Grensen was in the summer, just 1/2 a year earlier, so she was already 10 as well. Anyway, while I prefer this later performance as well, I think about 1/3rd of her fans actually prefer the Pa Grensen one. So guess it is more about taste than just better or worse. But she had even two earlier know public performances of the song: one in early 2016 (which you can find on her official channel), and the one I mentioned in December 2015. I think it is interesting to see her progression, and also seeing her doing it with a wide range of different accompanment. That's why I created these playlists for songs she did at many different occasions.
To me what makes the TV performance “better” is the backing performers. The outside live done before this she sounds fantastic and seems to hold that ending even longer!

I love this girl. She makes me cry like a baby. And I'm a 64 year old welder, and she can still get to me. You should see her when she was 6 years old.
Yes, she was 10 then. But, today, she is 17 and, though she has been performing for other people for about 10 years, after having won 'Norway's Got Talent' by performances given at 7 to 8 years of age, she is just beginning her 'fully professional' career, which is amazing. Who decides upon 'their career' at 6 years of age.....and then actually sticks with it? Beginning the middle of this year, when she graduates from high school, as crazy as that sounds, her record-deal company, Republic, will begin actively promoting and supporting her releases beyond the 'back-burner' level she has been provided. The interest in keeping her accumulated fame alive is strong because of the anticipated returns she will bring in once released from the Internet scene, then into what will be much more like 'Real Life', if living in LALA LAND can be considered 'real' at all, such is the belief in her talent and ability. In fact, she is 'cheating' at the door, still gaining admittance to the 'grown-ups' events, not with fake-IDs but with genuine musical art on offer, getting on with 'it' before getting the diploma in-hand. She has begun appearing at venues, several last Summer in her native Norway, and at notable, 'high visibility' events, such as, one-week ago in Paris, singing at the 'FIFA' Top Awards of the world of professional football, seen by hundreds of millions on various media, and, I expect to soon be seeing her appearance from Germany, within days, where she is supposed to be performing at the 'Germany's Next Top Model' television show season opener. Soon, her first album will drop, and, if this is received with the anticipated Public acclaim, then, before this coming Christmas season, her main problem may be a case of 'over-exposure'.

What cannot be underestimated is that this is Angelina’s arrangement and at 10 years old she is performing live by herself in front of an orchestra and has the audience in the palm of her hand. Name me another singer at that age who has ever performed solo live with an orchestra. There have been instrumentalists, but I can’t think of another singer that young doing their own arrangements.

Angelina is at even 10 years old is at a level that normally takes a singer 20 or more years to attain, if at ever, She is just that good, born to do exactly what she is doing with very little effort.
It's ok, you did great! You'll find that after ten or twenty performances younger and older and this level minimum, you'll be ready to handle the next 100+ more! The crazy thing is it's not enough! Hi, Jez. The AGT Champions video of Angelina's own version of Bohemian Rhapsody is a must-listen. Do try to get a link for the AGT Champions live. As a student, you will want to see how relaxed she is in her delivery. She gets Heidi Klum's golden buzzer, but that is all I'm going to say. People usually end up with a version that doesn't show the buzzer. They cut it off after Simon says his piece. Anyway, you're blown away the same way I was. I'm recommending Bohemian just because it might be a good idea to take a faster track to get up to date with what she's doing now. Last year, age 16, was a big year for her and this year is already showing it will be big, including her announcement of a video coming out in April 2023, and then later in the year, her eagerly anticipated album is to be dropped. Angelina started singing at 18 months old and by age 10 already had a full adult voice and full understanding of human emotions. Her outside concert the next summer age 11 is on par with any concert from any established singer anywhere. She sang many songs that day with many of the same backing instruments from this TV special. Diamonds are Forever and Loving You are just two of the songs that are must sees. Hi Jez 👋. Great reaction to 10 Angie. Remember, Angie never sings a song the same way twice so they'll all be 1st time reactions. She has done this song several times and they're all amazing and different. She did this song again at an outdoor concert with her small band and of course it was awesome. She has video of her practicing this song and yet making changes to make it her own. You should react to them to in time. 🙂👍❤

Her own band for almost 2 years at this point. Her own arrangements always. She maintains that freedom with her contract with Republic Records as well. This was the song that, when I heard it after listening to her covers for about 4 years, decided we are listening to the greatest female vocalist to ever live. I am even more impressed now. What a talent! she is a gift. Norway declared her a National Treasure soon after her win of Norway's Got Talent.
