Angelina Jordan sings a superb song in Sweden of 2014! I have nothing more to say. It was a little emotional. Other than this, I think this is the performance that stands out. Enjoy the reaction. PS. Who cares if her voice was off or she was sick! She performed and ensured that a little cold was not going to stop her getting on that stage. Kudos to her!!

This performance is all about emotions and not so much about _"musical perfection"._ She sang this song in honor of a teenage girl (shown in the slideshow behind her on stage) who had been bullied at school throughout her whole childhood, but finally, in her mid teens, stood up to her bullies and started to hold lectures about bullying in schools all over Sweden to give peers and elders the victims perspective, and gave advise about how to notice if there's mobbing going on and how best to aid the victim. As John Jørgensen mentioned - when Angelina sings _""I'll be there to protect you, with an unselfish love I respect you"*_ ... she really means it, from the bottom of her heart and she makes sure the messages is passed on by putting so much energy in to it.

This was a charity concert to honor local heroes, and was televised in Sweden. The pictures in the back were some of the heroes they were honoring. As you might have heard, she had a bit of a cold in this, but she still came out and delivered this beautiful rendition. I'm sure MJ himself would have approved this one.

hi HAP3, just to say that despite some little vocal slippage that I heard (maybe because she was sick?) but in defenitive we gave a very "joe cocker" version in these little slips of voice (in any charming case) which for me is one of the prettiest versions to date (very emotional) with flares of all beauty. Everyone else sings this from a romantic perspective. But being that this was a concert honoring heroes AJ sang this from a perspective of no matter how dire the situation you can count on her to be there as your friend.

I addressed this briefly in your reaction to What a wonderful world. This is a yearly gala in Sweden to honor everyday heroes. Everyday citizens that go above and beyond to help others. She was singing to honor the youth hero that year. She is an Iraqi girl that was the victim of bullying and racism, and finally stood up to the bullies and created a program to help other young people and bring awareness to the problem. The pictures are of this young lady Marwa Karim

The feels were great, but unfortunately her voice was under the weather. That's why I never request this song for a reaction, all the comments are about her cracking voice. I wish fans that request it would give the reactor the background info for a heads up.

Thanks for another beautiful reaction, this is, IMO, one Angelina's most exciting performances, for the age, the event, the commitment and her bad health (you can hear it from her particularly nasal voice), when she sang at this event held in Sweden every year to honor everyday heroes (the photos were of those people), it was shortly after his performance at the Nobel Prize ceremony in December at open, where she had sung barefoot, as usual, and had fallen ill. I can't even imagine how good this would have been if she hadn't been sick. It's really a shame she didn't do it again after she got healthy! The audience is in total awe! Everyone there is going to tell everyone they meet "I was there" for this performance. Just like Bobby Thompson's home run or Gene Sarazen's double-eagle, the number of "actual" witnesses grows with time! Thanks for the shout out.

A sore throat, and a bit of a cold, maybe made her push even harder for the high notes than she would have done. By that, to me this performance get even more emotional than it might have been. "I`ll be there, - just call my name" is THE song for this event as it was all about bullying, and those who stand up to deffend the ones getting bullied. Every day heroes. Angelina is performing just after a storry of bullying has been told and pictures was shown. Those pictures remains as Angelina sings this song. It is a great setting for this performance. I don`t know if this song was a wish from the organizers of the event, for Angelina to do. I think there is a chance that`s the case, but anyway she did a remarkable job. (BTW Usually Angelina herself pick and choose all of her songs, all since her start at 6 and 7 years old.) I simply love this performance. She was at a benefit. The audience included many dignitaries. If it was for charity I'm sure donations went through the roof after she sang. Just look at their faces. The silence was deafening!

I'm an Angelina Jordan fan not just because of her incredible talent, but also because she is an incredible human being.

salut HAP3 , juste pour dire que malgré quelques petits dérapages vocaux que j'ai entendu (peut-être parce qu'elle était malade?) mais qui en défénitive on donné une version très " joe cocker" dans ces petits dérapage de voix (en tout cas charmant) qui pour moi est une des versions les plus jolies à ce jour (très émotionnelle) avec des poussées de toutes beauté. I was going through some of the comments as I was watching this reaction video and came to understand that she had a cold and still wanted to perform at this charity concert. Now people, Angels of AJ, does that not just make you want to wrap up this little bundle of love and PROTECT AND CHERISH HER????. Yeah, I do..What a CHILD!!! What a HEART!!! Sick or not Angelina was phenomenal and she gave everything she could at this moment to the audience. This is the most important thing for me. We all know there are many young talents these days who sing very good, but how many of them could have the courage and the commitment of this amazing young lady to perform with cold on stage in front of many people bare feet? That is why I've said couple of times in my comments that she is the one. You need more than a beautiful voice to be great, to be the best. You need passion, commitment, dedication and courage to follow your dreams and to be true to yourself, to your fans, and always give everything you can, no matter the circumstances.

Angelina tells us, that if she has promised, "I´ll be there." She will be there! And she reminds us, that there are people, kids around the world, who do not go barefoot by choise, and no matter how sick they are, they must work, or there will be no food or shelter that night.

I also wanted to say “her voice slipped and cracked a couple of times, but she’ll learn to control it with time” but I found out she was sick and even if she wasn’t that would have been a great performance for her age. To answer your question- I think this event had to do something with immigration and refugees so the pictures behind her were just backing this up- it’s not her family.

Among my favorite Angelina songs, where she really gave her all! I learned from those who knew, that she was having a bad cold during this fund raising concert resulting from a Nobel Prize guest performance on a freezing temperature the previous day. Now here, she braved it all, colds or no colds, not wanting to disappoint everyone in attendance that night. And i was blown away by the way she attacked that note @4:21... Ohmygod...performance par excellence!!!

she sang in front of the king...and she sang in front of 32k in South Korea, with the age of 8 and 9 years,...she arranges, all pieces and is meticulous in her rehearsals, so she delivers impeccable quality. She is perfect in every entry, like at 30 year-old performing pro.

This is one of my favorite Angelina performances. She could have easily bowed out for a good reason, and people would have made excuses for her. But the character of this remarkable little girl comes shining through: focused, determined, dedicated, and now also, brave. I'm an old man, and think with this performance she became my hero. Once I knew "that crack" was coming (on second viewing and after), I began to wonder if that's maybe a little look of concern on her face as she prepares for it (in the "lull" before she sings "I'll be there to protect you" - it's like she's thinking, "I don't know if this is gonna work, but here goes…" =). Maybe I'm imagining things. But I'm _sure_ that I'm not imagining how she attacked the similar high, loud part in the very next verse. Just seconds after her voice "failed", and she doesn't hold back the next time 'round. I guess the phrase "once bitten, twice shy" doesn't apply to her!

Donald Lancon Jr I love your thought process on that crack. Being the pro she is, I’m guessing she backed off a little on the volume of the belt to avoid a second crack. Wouldn’t have bothered me though. Just would have brought another tear to my other eye.
