Great reaction. Angelina was actually the original singer of this song. This was a demo that she recorded for Baby Fuzz. She ultimately decided not to release it as her recording. Baby Fuzz then recorded and released it under his name later after not finding anyone else to record it.

Hello there MrLboyd. 'I'm Still Holding Out For You' is definitely Angelina Jordan's song because even though Baby FuzZ wrote it, his production and vocal skills have never met any musical standard that would produce a hit. It's an instant hit as you say and hopefully one day, Republic will buy the rights to this instant classic and off through Angelina history we go. Cheers!

Hi, this is the Original .. Angelina did this Demo for „Babyfuzz“ at age 10. ALs familiy decided to refuse this so itwas never published. Someone got his hand on it and released it as „Leaked“ 2 years later with pictures from Angelina at age 12 (from a photoshoot she did) and some other from earlier age ..

This basically IS her song. It was written for her to perform. The author of the lyrics Baby Fuzz has actually sung a “cover” of Angelina’s original version. “...it’s interesting to hear an old soul singing a modern pop song.” That “old soul” is ten year old Angelina Jordan. 😲

Yes, this is one of my absolute faves as well. 10 years old. Mindboggling. A leaked demo so she was bound by the superb arrangement that is right in her pocket as you stated, - and her voice and ways makes it simply magical and unforgettable. Hoping she will release this or updated with her even more mature voice at some point and thank you SO much to Baby Fuzz and his co creators for allowing it to haunt us with her brilliance! The is Epic and Legendary. There are some songs that meant to only be sung by one person that can do it justice. For this song that person is Angelina Jordan and the fact that she was ten(10) at the time is proof of this.

10 years old: fabulous low register, fabulous high register, vocal fry leading into phrases, power, emotion, beautiful runs, powerful interpretation of adult lyrics, complete command of every aspect of this song. Like many others, I hope Angelina re-records this and releases it, but I really have a difficult time imaging how it’s possible to improve on this. Angelina would sing it differently now, but her early performances have an integrity and life of their own that will never be replaced.

Woohoo, finally got around to one of my absolute fave Angelina gems. And a point of frustration for me, as everytime I hear this I hear "HIT!!!" screaming through my head, and for it to have been lost for whatever reason is never going to set easy. This song should have been on everybody's radio. And for a 10 yr old...well with Angelina of course the impossible becomes possible, but I've never heard a 10yr old even remotely approach this vocal performance. As an aside, the joke is that she recorded this first. Then years later the original songwriter comes out with HIS version, and what do you know, he's using HER arrangement, except he can't sing. And again...such a lost opportunity here. The question, as you mentioned, has always been how to merge Angelina's "old soul" with modern music to create a huge star, and this song absolutely did it. Great groove, incredible vox, that huge run at the end...grr. Until Angelina breaks through with something else, I'm never going to be easy with this one being lost.

Absolutely incredible and I loved this song first time I heard it. I have listened to it many times and still love it. I really think this is One of Angelina’s best songs for the Age she was at that time. I am sure if she had releases it would’ve definitely made the charts. She sounds absolutely brilliant and so professional in her delivery. A great reaction to a brilliant song which I really absolutely love

Great reaction and agree, it shows a lot of what is in her tool box! It is in a sense an original, her mom pulled the plug on a demo she did. It got leaked before the writer of the song got his version out. By the way she was this good at age 10. God Bless!

After hearing this it would be impossible to find any singer that could come close to the level Angelina reached in this performance, no one could come close. I have heard the version that Baby Fuzz released, and it is a totally different song. It has a very pop arrangement and feel to it. Where Angelina's version is much more soulful, refined, meaningful, and mature. I would not want to be the well known singer that released this song then have a demo by a ten (10) year old girl leaked and put my version to shame. I would have to retire no matter how long I was in the industry, and move out to boonies and contemplate the meaning and purpose of my life.

I heard this the week it released about 6 to 9 month's ago and your feelings are absolutely in line with mine. She "owns it", written for her or by someone else is inconsequential. I find it ethereally haunting and soul wrenchingly haunting in its beauty vocalizations. Masterful is an understatement. Stunning it is. I've listened to it more times than I can count and touted it everywhere. Till the day I pass this Proformance and Song, will as it does every time l hear it slay me. It's is a pinical, a synergy of all thing's, Angelina.

Yes she is in her pocket. Of course credit to the amazing production and also the writer 👏 🙌. Everyone should see the maturity of Angelina at the age of 10 is simply unbelievable. Also at 6 or 7 or 8 or 9 and on and on. I agree that this a masterpiece. But what matters most is respect the family choices. They have done an amazing job thus far. The future of this precious child should have nothing to bind her. Thanks to grandma ma and uncle Michael and the people at Republic records others behind the scenes. There is a messy history behind this piece..Baby Face has the rights, did he write it or Stargate? Did Angelina's family pull away because of copyright issues or the Lyrics ( by the way, Hold My Head under Water, isn't necessarily in reference to suicide, it could easily be a metaphor for baptism, and since some of the lyrics were changed in Angelina's performance, aka, omitting the F word, they could just as easily omitted " go down to the river, hold my head under water if this were the issue) anyway, since we are NOT personally close to the Astar family we don't know, we're all just making assumptions. So here is me and my assumption, as far as I'm concerned this is Angelina's damn song!!!! MrLboyd, I'm glad you recognize it as HER'S.

There's so much misinformation about this video. Here's what I wrote on another reactor's cite: You say "all we know for SURE is that the writer [Baby Fuzz/Brandon Lowry] got Angelina to record it as a demo". Brandon didn't even know she was doing a demo (with some of his team) until it was "leaked" without his permission. So it would appear we don't know "for sure" at all. Brandon could have pulled it from the internet immediately (his copyright), but he liked it so much that he left it up. You are certainly right about your last comment though: most....comments sections are regurgitated by people who know little more than the reactor. For example, the story about her mom being upset about the suicide inference at the end. In fact, if that was the case, the lyrics could have easily been changed. And if Sara was upset about the suicide inference, which Brandon says is not at all what the lyrics are saying, why would she let her 7 year old daughter sing "Gloomy Sunday", which has be called "the Hungarian suicide song", on NGT. Some one says something in a comment, and another person passes it on as factual, and pretty soon, that becomes the narrative, even if it's completely incorrect. But all that aside, for me and many of her fans, this ranks as one of the best things she has ever done. And I've heard Brandon's version, and it's not even in the same league as Angelina's. We can only hope that she will someday revisit this, because as you said, as far as I'm concerned, this is Angelina's song.

Baby Fuzz wrote this and asked Angelina to record it. This is the demo she produced. They decided not to take this forward as the ending has a suicide theme to it, so not appropriate for a 10 year old. Baby Fuzz later put out a recording of the song. Then this recording was leaked somehow.

It was written by Baby Fuzz but was not sung originally by Baby Fuzz hence the subtitle, "Leaked". Baby Fuzz released his version AFTER Angelina's hit RU-vid.

There are stories about this song, but very little in the way of facts. The Song was written by BabyFuzz, along with co-writers, Angelina made a demo audio recording of this , but the team decided not to release it. Someone got hold of a copy and made a video. This was recorded just before Angelina turned 11, with the video released over a year later. Angelina has never performed this song since the initial demo, and as far as I understand is not expecting to. One thing is for sure, very many fans agree with your opinion regarding this performance. It is the biggest hit that never was. Who knows, one day it may be released officially, on an album of her back catalogue... Meanwhile I listen to this as a guilty pleasure, in the hope that it would not offend Angelina or her team. As for many of the songs she sings, the story resonates with many of us oldies that have lived and lost, but still held out in the vain hope that a lost love can be recaptured...

Will this be going on your playlist? It went on mine, as soon as I first heard it months ago. I don't think it ever wants to leave. And I put it on "loop" every once in a while, for hours. Or even for days.

Baby FuzZ wrote the lyrics and melody at a singer/song writer camp in Oslo in 2016. He sent the song out to several artists in an attempt to get a demo made. Angelina sang this in 2016. A couple of hypotheses are that Angelina's mother objected to the lyric "crazy FUCKING ideas" or that the suicide theme wasn't appropriate for Angelina, so she didn't release it. A third party got hold of the demo, produced the slide show (public photos) and released this piece in 2018.

I would just add that the arrangements for the songs on 'Its Magic' were made by a military band specialist. In fact the conductor is also an arranger and Angelina is shown in some background videos collaborating with both of them in a 'team effort'. She was 11/12yo at the time.
