So much better then the baby fuzz release. The lyrics to the song fit Angelinas style so much more!! She is AMAZING!! Everything she does is so much better than the originals. She makes every song her own and doesn't try to parrot the original and improves it!! I have never been so impressed or addicted to an artist till I found Angelina. I have never really been a fan of any performer in my 52 years on this earth till I found her. I strive to find and listen to everything she's done or will do!!

She sings this absolutely genius at 10.

This song could certainly top the charts if played on the radio. Imagine if Angelina re-recorded this song now, at 15+ years old, and re-released it. If it is even possible, she would sing this song even better now. But I don't know how she could improve upon her 10-year-old version. How could anyone else release a cover of this song that would be better than Angelina's version?

Think about it,she is only 10 years old in this masterpiece song from her,a voice like a grown woman.

Ten year old Angelina already displays that she has a much larger and more comprehensive vocal tool box and color palette than most adult veteran singers do. Her maturity level is decades beyond a person her age. Her hyper sensitive intuition, feel and emotional connection with the lyrics is unmatched. Her vocal mastery is at an elite master class level and she’s still only fifteen years old.

I was blown away when I heard she was 10 years old when she recorded this. To put this into perspective, 10 years old in the U.S. is 5th grade! Elementary school! 'Nuff said.

Every time I hear this I wish we had choices of multiple thumbs-up .. one just isn't enough. She's signed with Republic, Dave. As is Beyonce and Sam Smith and and and .. They made a special deal with Angelina and her family. They asked that she is not put out in the music business until she's done with her school, which is sometime this year, I think. Meanwhile, they do covers with her in studio and give her latitude for her to use tiktok and Instagram as she wishes. She has certainly made use of both! If you haven't seen any of her tiktoks, they are worthy, Dave, really .. even if they're short. She's amazing. There is a recent one of House of the Rising Sun which she taped at 5am when she was fooling around with her guitar. It will surprise you .. I promise. She's also done a very recent My Funny Valentine (she did a wonderful one at 10 years old from a couch in her house, mic in hand ..) and this one is mind-blowing because you truly get to hear how extremely stunning her voice is turning out. I believe there is one video that has both .. the early and the recent .. and that is worth seeing for sure. I was stunned and paralyzed for quite some time after hearing this. I heard and felt many things as she sang but most of all I saw the future of her career. If she can do this at ten years old, what is she going to do as an adult. Well Angelina's just a teenager now and she's showing the world that she can even grow from this astounding performance. Angelina is so very special.

This is the only song I know of in which the composer (baby fuz) does a cover of his own song. This was leaked and popular quite some time before he recorded the official version.

the performance that does not exist but will forever be in our mind.

Natural Talent sung with pure heart and a Love of music. All that wrapped up in her confidence to share her joy with others. She is a pure joy. She is a genuine talent but is so humble and real. I'm not, I see this little girl come out and at 7 she humbles the Music industry by reminding people what real Music sounds like, Then she Shamed them by covering stuff they are doing now and she does it Better. As the fennel thing. She takes the crown of Queen of Music and does it 15 years old by writing her own Song Million Miles. For me Million miles also should be taken by the rest of the Music industry, those that put on that Horror fest they called the 2020 Grammy awards as a statement for how fare Below the bar of excellence they have fallen. Her Pure love of Music and Real talent with out need to Placate or make political or social hate a Tool in her music should Shame the industry. This here is what we should expect and Demand. This is actually an Angelina original. Baby Fuzz used her version when he released his song. All after her are covers. Consider ten years old when she sings this.

A real masterpiece. She created her own virgin version of this song here, which had no history yet at this time, like her other covers have. Impressive! Of course we respect here decision to never sing this song again, but it hurts never see her singing it.

It isn't actually a cover. She sang it on a demo for the composer (BabyFuzz) who was shopping it around and recorded his version a couple of years later. It is highly reminiscent of hers.

I’m not sure why the video you watched had only 200,000 views, but this song is right at the top of the list for those of us who are hardcore fans of Angelina. I think I’ve probably watched it about 100,000 times myself. It’s stunningly good. Not only do Angelina’s vocals so beautifully deliver this song, but it’s a ten year old leading us through this sad, melancholic theme. I don’t know if it’s good or bad not seeing the video performance in the studio. I love watching Angelina sing, but the emotional impact of this song is so strong that watching it come from a young child just does not compute. It’s one of her best.

Great reaction Dave. This should have been a big hit but the world was not ready for an 11 year old (she sang this one week before her 11th birthday) to be on top of the charts. I believe Angelina's course in life has been laid out and this performance will be an important part of the story when books are written and movies made about the greatest vocalist ever, Angelina Jordan Astar.

I read a quote from Angelina that after recording it she had second thoughts about it. The hint of suicide was what she didn't like and said she didn't want to sing it again.

Her mother did not want this to be released because the lyrics described a drowning suicide. Cudos to her family. But this is a masterpiece. She is 10!

The low views may have something to do with the fact that she did not release this one , becuase of the darkness of the lyrics. The reason for the leaked video ,even though this one of her most amazing epic performances at just 10 years old.

There is definitely SOMETHING about her singing THIS song. It's beyond description. It's truly a shame that it is not a staple of her well known songs. I think they would not allow her to alter lyrics that implied a suicide and it was deemed unacceptable by her people as something to have her name associated with. Not sure what she suggested as an alteration for that. But she is very good at that sort of thing (see her version of Back In Black). So this one was leaked to the public. I think it may arguably be one of her finest vocal performances. She really is OUTSTANDING here. Everyone should hear it.

Great reaction to talented Angelina and astonishing delivery of this song compared to Baby Fuzz version

Many feel this is the most unique performance she has ever done, and that includes taking into account her powerful version of 'I Put A Spell On You'. Had her mom allowed this to be released, it would have been a #1 song, for sure. Her mom didn't like the lyrics that described a drowning suicide and put the 'kabosh' on it.

(I've heard the Views number was skewed because several vidoes were taken down and finally it was left up. I don't know if the 'take downs' were family related - that's what we've been led to believe because of the 'mature subject matter'. If that was true, I think the family should release this now and ask the LEAKED video be removed - thus reducing count-numbers, of course. But I think in years ago, that number will explode.) I hope in her years ahead, this will be a live-performance gem she trots out to blow the roof off again, and again and again. The bad thing about this - just like you needing a break, needing a breath - ain't gonna be possible for those of us in the audience.

Love the reaction, Dave! I was going to comment on this yesterday, but life got in the way. Yes, this is Angelina at her best … at 10 years old. To answer your question, she signed with Republic Records/UMG. This song has so much speculation and rumor about it that it's hard to know the truth. However, the opinion held by many that her family objected to the lyrics seems unlikely. It refers to the last two lines of the song and the thought that it's about suicide. It really isn't. It's about taking a chance, even if it means possibly drowning. However, if the lyrics were a concern, she easily could have changed that bit. She did change another line in the song, "I been thinking ‘bout your crazy f***ing lies" got changed to "I been thinking 'bout you crazy all the time." So the lyrics issue, as I said, seems unlikely. The more probable issue is one of rights. As far as I know, Angelina never had permission to release the song. I don't know who "leaked" it, but somehow the audio did get leaked and a fan(?) got a copy and created the video you watched. Brandon Lowry (aka Sterling Fox, aka Baby FuzZ) wrote the song along with cowriters Aksel Carlson, Ronny Janssen, and Frida Amundsen while at a songwriting camp in Oslo in 2016. Lowery is a talented songwriter who has written multiple #1 hits and songs for the likes of Madonna, Britney Spears, Lana Del Ray, Avicii, Adam Lambert, Kylie Minogue, Bebe Rexha and many more. He tried to get big name artists to record it for two years, before actually recording and releasing it himself in 2018. Lowry says he never heard Angelina's version before he released his. Angelina recorded the audio for this as a demo at least a year before the Baby FuzZ release, so it really is not a cover. I don't know if this was a case of Angelina recording a song she heard and liked, or if someone asked her to do it. Angelina has reportedly said she would never sing the song again. The urban legend surrounding this will, no doubt live on, but you have to agree that this was remarkable. Thanks for the reaction.
