Thanks for reacting to this stunning performance by Angelina. She did audition for the "Norwegian Talents" competition in 2014, as she was 7 years old. She did 4 classic jazz / jazzy songs. She sang "Gloomy Sunday" and "I`m a Fool to Want You", both covers from Billie Holyday. Then she did a cover from Nancy Sinatra`s version of "Bang bang, My baby shot me down", and for the final she sang George Gershwin`s "Summertime". She turned 8 YO before the semi final and the finals. She won and confimed her stardom trough that competition, an trough all her almost 130 videos now uploaded to YT. Hope to se many more reactions from you, on Angelina. !!

Angelina has several songs available as MP3 on Amazon. I just bought seven of them, including this one, and plan to burn them to a disc. I just don't ever want to be without her music. Thanks for reacting to this astonishing performance.

Thank you for your fine reaction to Angelina. She was 9 in this performance. You may have noticed two things just before the music started. She was writing some notes which she handed to the pianist. These were her instructions to the band how she wanted them to play. She is holding a candle and that has a picture of the man who wrote the song. The song was written by Screamin' Jay Hawkins in 1953. He performed it the same year by being carried on to the stage in a coffin. when the music started he "rose from the dead". Angelina needs no such gimmicks in this tribute to him. She sang it in the same style but rearranged both lyrics and music to reflect how she thought it should be sung. And remember she was only 9 when she did so. You mention Angelina as a songwriter. The story about her bare feet. Coming out of the studio she came upon a little girl in the freezing cold with no shoes. Angelina gave her her own shoes. And she hasn't worn shoes while performing since. Good kid.

She didn't win the whole thing because her family would only sign a contract that did not include being signed by the record company that owns the show...
