Just to let you know, the other co-writer of the song, BC Jean, was the first to sing the song as well as the person the song came from. She had just broken up with the man that she loved. Per Toby, they played it for Beyonce one day and she really wanted to sing and use this song, and the rest you say is history. Angelina and Toby have been working together for a while now and are creating new music for her to sing. They teased a song at a special event called Bad Valentine and it should be coming out within a few months. This collaboration is awesome! The Piano Diaries is Toby's project of other singers singing his most famous songs. Angelina of course is singing this song made famous by Beyonce. Who is Toby Gad? Gad is a German music producer and songwriter based in Los Angeles. The first performance in a small venue in LA. Her second performance on one of the biggest stages in the world when she performed it live with Toby Gad on Andrew Loyd Webber's theatre 'The Palladium in London. Angelina dropped her Official Music Video of 'If I Were a Boy' The Piano Diaries by Toby Gad. He co-wrote this song with B C Jean and it was made famous by Beyonce in 2008. Toby is working on a reimagining of 9 of his most famous hits and he chose Angelina for this 'reimagination' of this song. This was her second performance released on her Official Channel. They are currently working together on several more songs one of which she performed with her 1st performance of this song at a local nightspot in LA where she also performed this unreleased single called 'Bad Valentine which should be dropping in the next few months. There are also suggestions that they are actually collaborating on Angelina's New Album. Fingers crossed. We are hoping that will soon follow. Toby Gad is a world-renowned multi-Grammy winning songwriter and producer from Germany. I believe we are 'finally' at the precipice of Angelina's introduction to the World Stage and doing it with the power, class and emotion that only Angelina can bring. Oh my, It was clear for me from the first time I heard Angelina's rendition of this song that she now "owns" it and that she took it to another level. However, as I've probably listened to it like 20 times now, I've come to realize that it is getting better and better and, in my perception, by now has reached stratospheric heights.
