IMO, Angelina’s vocal arrangement, her interpretation and her supreme story telling ability can’t be improved upon.

Just to let you know, the other co-writer of the song, BC Jean, was the first to sing the song as well as the person the song came from. She had just broken up with the man that she loved. We have had 6 performances of 'If I Were a Boy' and two official videos. Angelina has never released that much material in such short period of time. 'Bad Valentine is expected to be released shortly and if they do the same type of promotion plus the fact that she is working on her long awaited Album being released around september I am finally seeing a big push over the next year designed to hit the Music Industry hard with Angelina's unique style. There is no one like her and her voice while being beautiful it is also so unique you know instantly Angelina is singing in any performance she does. I hope and believe that is the plan. If they can maintain that kind of push through the year to the Grammys I really believe we are seeing the kind of promotion we have all been waiting for. I don't like the music in the music video but prefer the piano and cello. That said, the music video was present the lyrics in a natural way when some body was walking and there fore the sun and people was an intricate part of the video and story. Maybe I am wrong but isn't the voice of her the same as in the music video? For me it sound the same.

I understand people like what they like. But, I'm sorry I don't understand the fascination with belting. The song tells a story, so the singing fluctuates with the story. I guess if you were singing about a raging storm it'd be all belting.
