This video, filmed at St James' Church Sussex Gardens in Paddington, was released in three versions two months ago and has reached more than a million views in total. "It just flows out of her" is a very good description, although only the very greats manage to make it look effortless, even when a lot of effort went into preparing (we know this because we've seen some rehearsal footage over the years). btw you're one of the very few reactors who didn't find their way here via either I put a spell on you or Bohemian Rhapsody - which is kind of refreshing. (There is another version in the church using the studio recording). I'm sure that's why they left in the ironic "that was good" at the end, to show this was a single, live, amazing take. So many pop singers today RELY on things like auto tune and pitch correction in their recordings and even live performances. AJ is very old school and more talented than the lot. At her Sept 2023 New Hampshire concert she stopped a song twice that mistakenly started out with a backing track of her voice, saying "I don't sing with that " or the like.
I can't believe it's necessary to announce to people that this voice is all natural, but hey... Obviously, it seems some do need to read it to believe it. 😉

To this day I remember her favorite flowers and her seemingly constant smile. In my opinion, for a girl grandmas (all of them) are some of the most beautiful relationships and memories. What can I say, this is a new and fantastic live version of the song, with the wonderful echoes of the church that make it even more magical her voice, I would listen endlessly to her wonderful and powerful voice with that incredible low register of her and those wonderful progressions, I admire her fantastic musical sensitivity more and more, it seems impossible, but every song, simple or complex, which she rediscover becomes a new and splendid song. For me she is simply unique and with an incredible melodic perception. I love this composed and passionate performance, it's absolutely healing for the soul but even so crossed by an incredible musical power and structure, I love when in the second part, the soft background accompaniment of the piano and cello gives a wonderful and silky backdrop at her incredible voice. 💛🧡❤

If you want the full meaning of a song, you just have to experience it from Angelina and it will feel like it is your song. Yeah, I'm not crazy about the lyrics but I like the song especially the staccato section--nobody is better at phrasing than she is and it sounds special when she does it. Hello! Thank you for another very good reaction. I was very curious to hear what you thought about this one. The song is quite different from what she normally sings, and just like you, I'm NOT a big fan of the "original" by Beyoncé. That being said, Angelina, as always, makes the song totally her own, and thus makes the whole experience very different. The only common denominator between the two performances is the lyrics. Other than that, what you get is purely and unapologetically Angelina. And again she shows us that she indeed does not need to hide her voice (and/or flaws) behind a heavy, drowning-out instrumental arrangement. The more "raw" you get to hear Angelina, the better she sounds. There aren't a whole lot of modern singers out there that you can say the same about. Have an amazing week ahead! Ms Alecks you might want to take a different approach and focus on and react to the creative side of AJ covers, not just the musicality. Specifically see/hear Bohemian Rhapsody (age 13); I’d Rather Go Blind (age 13) or Unchained Melody at the Nobel Prize Concert late last year (age 17). These are just a few. There are many others.
