I was there filming this video and, this was insane! My biggest takeaway from attending my first Angelina Jordan concert is that recordings just don’t do her justice. She is simply crazy, CRAZY good live!

She comes out and KILLS this song, then after the last note, shows humility as if she has no idea how beautiful she sounds. I cant take it. There is simply no artist Ive ever seen like this miracle child.

Keep in mind that this is just a simple recording possibly with a smartphone. Imagine standing close to stage… I reckon it is a like a gentle tsunami pushing all away and leaving no room for anything else. She was trying to get the audience to sing along and dance along, but I think they were transfixed, spellbound not able to move their attention from their ear and eyes, barely remembering to breathe while she was singing. It is hard to comment on pure blissful perfection :-)

All we really want is to be there when you first hear it and all listen together because we are all family and she's the next "World changer" This is very rare and they change the heart and the direction through music and this one is just in time. I lost count of how many concerts I have attended in my 68 years. I can count on one hand's fingers the artists that sound as good or better live than their studio recording. Ella Fitzgerald and Sarah Vaughan come to mind as well as Angelina. Great company to be among. I was at the July 10 concert and I can tell you she sounded and looked amazing. Nick, IMO, this remarkable performance clearly defines and demonstrates how highly developed sixteen year old Angelina’s vocal capabilities and acuity are. As you eluded to, when Angelina sings it’s like watching her breath. She blows us away with how comfortable, easy and effortlessly it is is for her to sing. Her vocal versatility, vibrato, control, her rich lower register, her elite master class level sophistication and the list of vocal embellishments are unequaled. I have listened to most of the very talented singers in her age group and older and they don’t have Angelina’s deep tool box, her closet full of textures and her color pallet. They are bereft of Angelina’s innate ability and extreme sensitivity to know exactly how and when to use her vocal techniques.

This is a CLASSIC EXAMPLE of the ability of our MEGA SUPERSTAR, Angelina Jordan; she takes a song I find very distasteful from all the vocalists that have performed it in the past, and turns it into a work of ART. She hits you with something you weren't expecting and hitting those 'impossible' notes as she tosses her hair lol, she getting some attitude now with certain songs. The attitude used to just be in the vocals, but now that she's a little older, she's showing attitude in the vocals and giving attitude on stage, with hair tosses. My favorite track from AJ is always the last one I’ve listened to. Every time I hear her most recent recording I think to myself that she’s reached her peak and can’t possibly get any better-and then she does with the next recording. 🤯

I have been loving and listening to soul music since the Motown/Philly years and heard some brilliant, truly amazing voices and lots of them live from 1970 onwards, and this is up there with the very best and then she suddenly takes up another level.
