I thought the instrumentation was just beautiful...love the addition of the strings. This was a jazzy song and production that was meant for Angelina. My thoughts on this. The more I look at this team the more excited I get. I like many had no idea who Toby Gad is. I learned about him after her first performance with him. Another Powerhouse Writer Producer who has worked with only the best of the Industry past and present. Diane Warren another legend visited with Angelina but little came of it. This is very different than that. Angelina and Toby have declared they are working on original material together that they hinted would be available this fall. We are all of course hoping is the long-awaited Album. Some predictions in the past have failed to materialize as predicted. Let's hope this is not the same. And I've been thinking about the timing which would be brilliant. Many have mentioned a release in September would be late to qualify for this year’s Grammys. What if that is the plan. We already have two Grammy worthy releases with 'If I Were a Boy' and 'Bad Valentine out right now which will be eligible this year. Produced and performed by two powerhouse singer/songwriters/producers in Angelina and Toby. All of the songs on the album would be eligible for the following year's Grammys. At least in this scenario. If one or both songs win a Grammy think about the runway that would have for a Full year and from the very same powerhouse duo. Having already won they will both be well known by then having already won the Grammy(s). All of those new songs from the new album will be eligible for those Grammys. They will be knocking on the door of the industry. Banging actually! I don't think she can be ignored anymore! Great reaction to a Beautiful song. One further thought. Wanting a genuine relationship she instead gets Mr Nice Guy who puts her on a pedestal and cannot see past his romantic fantasies, behaving badly does not shatter his illusions and she sees they are just incompatible and walks away.

Practically no one has interpreted these lyrics correctly. I finally heard this played with clear audio and she’s clearly singing “I warned you right from the start I thought I told you I would mess up, girl”, meaning Jordan is the one sitting alone at the table for two, and her ex is the bad valentine, from who’s viewpoint she’s singing the song. You’re so nice you even smile when you’re hurt, a line that fits Angelina to a tee. Watch the video again with the idea that Jordan is singing this from her exes point of view, the real bad valentine, and you’ll see what I mean. Everyone assumes Angelina is the bad valentine, but she’s the one at the table being stood up. It’s the only way the lyrics make any sense unless the lyrics are between two women, which is highly doubtful!
