This is a perfect example of Angelina's roots being in jazz. I shut my eyes while listening to her here and I can distinguish bits of Billie Holiday and Amy Winehouse, two of the true icons of jazz. Then, when this girl applies her own take and inflections to round out what we hear, it is simply magical and unlike any other singer I have ever heard.

IMHO Angelina is the greatest singer story teller of my nearly 63 years. Her arrangements along with vocal choices are the work of a genius. Others may wow with hitting crazy notes or vocal gymnastics while Angelina her in understated ways, delivers a song unlike any other. Always beautiful, filled with soul and emotion. Jennifer, many thanks for providing so many links to all things Angelina in your description (could add her two official RU-vid channels) but sadly so many viewers never read the description. A quick shoutout letting viewers know about the links would be greatly appreciated.

Been meaning to say that I seem to hear a slight sound I picked up on in the song that on this video hits about the 3:43 to 3:44 area that for one split second sounds like MJ to me. It's very slight just wondering if anyone else thinks that. Thumbs up Jennifer, thanks for your time.
Totally different, Angelina makes a famous song to her own again. Love her JazzPop style very much, she is so special Her focus on the lyriks is very clear, now it's easy to understand the story behind the song. She is a wonderful storyteller
