The majority of people prefer "clean" singers and who can blame them? There are so many with crystal clear voices with beautiful tone and style. I truly wish EVERYONE has their favorite artists who improve the quality of their lives, half as much as Angelina's music does for me. Angelina is a rare and unique musical artist, performing in so many genres, using so many different sounding voices. She is easily my all time favorite musical artist and anxiously await more original music, which I believe will be known as the "Angelina genre".
I think you forgot that Angelina is the girl with a thousand voices. She’s been doing that for about a decade now. I’m old, and I’ve loved Angelina singing the classics with her own twists, but we’re now hearing her own music and lyrics. I think the biggest change with Angelina’s music since she signed with Republic Records a few years ago is that we’re now getting terrific, complex music production to go along with the voice that we’re all here for. The thumping beat of Diamond, the attitude, the sass, and the unexpected vocal transitions all work together. We’re not used to this type of music being sung by a great jazz singer-and it’s really catchy. I still love her covers of the classics, but every song on the Old Enough EP is terrific.
Angelina is in Paris this week - she will be one of the Debutants of Le Bal - on Nov 25th - a very prestigious international event for young women - it is great honor for her to have been selected. One side effect is that her Old Enough EP has risen up the France iTunes music chart.
Angelina each new song is like opening a new Christmas present as a kid, you never know what you are going to get but it is always a pleasnt surprise blessing.

I have watched this artist grow up learning how to flex her vocal character anywhich way she chooses by singing the genre of every great vocalist. Her early love and in depth knowledge of jazz music taught her a flexibility and creativity with musical dynamics. The strange thing is no matter what her delivery she is instantly recognisable. if her voice is as smooth as FUNNY VALENTINE or all the dirty grit of her Etta James cover she did at 13 ID RATHER GO BLIND. we find her low rich vibrato is her preteen rendition of HOW GREAT THOU ART in the same key as Elvis. We listened to a delicate breathy version of BOHEMIAN RHAPSODY age 13 on AGT. A version Queen themselves loved so much they gave her copyright to her version. I loved her STAY, or BORN TO DIE , any Adele cover like ALL I ASK, or EASY ON ME. but most of all her origional music on her EP OLD ENOUGH.
Seen her three times in concert now - she is even better live. First time by accident at the 02 in London where she opened the Quincy Jones concert. Then in Norway last Summer and again this year in Portsmouth NH. Never seen anyone like her - and I'm an old git who has been to many concerts.

Hi Bob, she is 17 years old here and in just under 2 months she will be 18, the whole EP is such a masterpiece, everything is original and so well written by her, I can only say she is outstanding and by far the best singer of this decade or Century and Diamond is an even bigger surprise I have never experienced in my entire life that an EP only contains number 1 songs, each of the 6 songs is a hit and grammy worthy I hope that Republic Records finally starts the promo engine and puts them in the Radio and TV are played, only RU-vid is not enough. The crazy thing is that she said that the EP with 6 songs is a small selection of over 100 songs that she has already written, that gives hope for the future that we will be surprised with even more beautiful songs. RR spent a lot of high ranked producers and Songwriters for this EP. She is announced as the primary new artist and I think they are planning a long way with this unique and flexible artist to make her well known around the whole world, let's see what's coming next 🎉
If you’d take her voice out, I feel this would leave me with a 90’s rap track. But who would want to take this amazing voice out :-) Angelina has created a wonderful song in all aspects: the music, the singing and the lyrics. Beautiful lyrics of a strong spirit who will not bow down to anything. If you listen to the EP in the original order, the whole EP seems to go through stages of a love lost and getting back on your feet. It doesn’t stop with the EP! A few weeks ago she released another original ‘Our Time’: a wonderful song as well, upbeat and with great positive vibe. She also said a Christmas EP is forthcoming :-)
Haven't heard an accumulations of songs as impressive as these on her 'EP' since Amy's Grammy winning album 'Back To Black'. Whereas Amy stayed in the R&B lane, Angelina starts there in the first two songs but them veers into an explosion of multi-genre excellence that is simply mind boggling. Personally, I like 'Good In Goodbyes' best, but they are all Grammy worthy presentations.
I think Angelina's OLD ENOUGH EP is the best studio album since the Amy Winehouse BACK TO BLACK album, which was a masterpiece. I hope there is a whole album to follow. Angelina is a true great that only her followers know about. I looking forward to your reactions to the rest of her EP.
Great reaction. She 'colors' everything she sings with such purpose. Making us feel what she wants us to feel. A master artist that knows 'music' and her musical instrument like only a few legends in music history. Think Sinatra, Holiday, Fitzgerald, Winehouse. AJ will be a legend herself. It is her destiny.
I am listening to this song about 5 times a day. One of the best songs according to my taste for music. Her voice is as usual very interesting, and can not be explained in words. I know that you try your best, thank you! But there is more to it. She is worth listening to. Amazing artist!

I definitely agree that she is an incredibly divers singer. Through the years I have heard her do 8 or 9 different genres, depending on whether I want to put her cover of Mount Everest in a separate genre. There is nothing she can't sing, and she is nailing it all. I have already told you in a response to your pinned comment that my favorite track on the EP is called "Good In Goodbyes". I really hope that you will react to that one as well. And since I'm already here😁I just HAVE to give you two more recommendations. The two songs are her cover of Lauren Daigle's "You Say" and her rendition of "My Funny Valentine". She performed "You Say" during her live, digital Christmas concert on December 23rd 2021, at age 15. It was her way of saying thanks to her fans, and was the only non Christmas song she did. To this date that performance is my absolute favorite by her. And it will take some beating to be dethroned as well 😉 Angelina posted her performance of "My Funny Valentine" on her IG profile on Valentine's day last year, and she had JUST turned 16 or was possibly still 15 at the time of recording, as her birthday is Jan 10th. That one sits very comfortably on my personal top 5, possibly even top 3. So you see, these ones just shouldn't be missed. Thanks for your reaction! She is only 17 years old today and from Norway. She signed with the label Republic Records just 14 years old, I think we can safely leave the promotion to Republic Record. Marketing will start when they are ready There's only one EP with 6 songs she's released from RR no. Republic Records know 100% what they are doing? I think a lot of people don't realize how much Angelina has done in her short life (17). She performed FIFA AWARD song, and performed in front of 40 000 people only 11 years old invited by Norah Jones. She was also specially invited by Quincy Jones to perform on his 85th birthday in the O2 arena / London. And so on goes the list... She has over 250 songs on RU-vid with cover songs and many originals. Angelina also plays piano and guitar. The truth is that within a year or two she will be the artist for the big occasions. and not a "plastic artist" who tops a list for a week and is forgotten just as quickly. When she sometimes belts is it because the fits in the performances. She sings to us only she can do! Angelina recently had a sold-out concert in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, where there was an audience from many different country all the way from Australia and from 39 different states in the USA. 😀
Angelina has been writing songs since she was 10 years 0ld - So far 12 have been released: Oslo, What is Life?, Shield, Million Miles, 7th Heaven, Love Don't Let Me Go, Now I'm The Fool, Fire and Rain, All My Fault, Good in Goodbyes, Diamond, and Our Time. Angelina has stated that she has written about 100 songs that have yet to be released. Her songs are taken from her Journal writings. When she was 10/11 she rewrote the Lyrics to Amy Winehouse's Back to Black and Rehab to make them more age appropriate at that time.

On our instruments, we change tone and style all the time, but it is very unusual to find a singer with that kind of approach. All the different styles and tones that you mentioned that she can bring to the table, is the reason she is called the barefoot princess of 1,000 voices. Not sure if you've heard that!
