Angelina Jordan's Stunning Performance Leaves Band Teacher Amazed 

Angelina has been singing like this since she was about 7 years old her most popular song then was Fly Me To The Moon. She didn't speak any English I think she is French, I think. She was on quite a few TV shows singing. Check out her life story on RU-vid.

Angelina Jordan is a self taught jazz vocalist, who won Norway's Got Talent at age 8 singing Billie Holiday. Now 17 years old, she has released 11 original songs in addition to her nearly 200 covers on RU-vid. Her most popular video is her genius arrangement of "Bohemian Rhapsody".

Her fans are called Angels and she is a music prodigy with an old soul from Norway. She's basically been a star since she was 7 years old. First and foremost, she is a jazz singer but has the ability to sing any genre. She also does all of her own musical arrangements. Her early influences are Billie Holiday, Dinah Washington, and Etta James to name a few. Her love of jazz came from her grandmother playing jazz music around her when she was young. In 2014, she entered at age 7 and won Norway's Got Talent at the age of 8. With her new found fame, she used it to appear on many shows from abroad and help raise millions for the less fortunate children around the world. At age 13, she was invited to participate on America's Got Talent: The Champions in 2020. She shocked the audience and the judges with her rendition of Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen. She received a standing ovation from all and got the Golden Buzzer from judge Heidi Klum to go straight to the Finals. Her performance went viral and even the group Queen responded on Twitter by saying, " Wow, what a rendition!" For Queen to respond to someone covering one of their songs is quite a feat since they rarely react to anyone . Not only that, but she received the copyrights for her version of this song from Queen, which makes it hers now. She did not win, but her fan base grew and expanded her popularity. Now 17 years old, living in Los Angeles, and currently signed with Republic Records, whose clients include Taylor Swift, Ariana Grande, The Weeknd, and Drake to name a few. Her family and Republic Records had agreed not to heavily promote her just yet so she can live as normal of a life as possible and finish her schooling. From what we know, she is finally done with school. She had a single that came out May 5th called Love Don't Let Me Go, a new EP called Old Enough that came out Friday, July 21st, a newly released video of her new song called Now I'm The Fool, and a new album of original music which will be coming out later this year. She returned back to Norway and performed at a number of sold out concerts in which fans from around the world came to see her. Many of the fans there said she sounded better live in person and was a once in a lifetime experience. On September 22, 2023, Angelina had her first U.S. concert that sold out in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. Her fans call her The Barefoot Princess. She always performs with no shoes when she sings. Why? The reason is very special. When she was 6 years old, she was traveling with her family in Iran where she met a poor shoeless girl in the streets that was about her age. She made money by weighing people. After speaking with her for a few minutes, Angelina noticed the scars on the girl's feet and asked the girl what her dream is. The girl said she wanted to be a doctor but she couldn't because she had to make money for her family. Angelina did what came natural to her, she gave the little girl her shoes and told her to not give up on her dreams. The girl then asked Angelina what her dreams were, Angelina answered that she wanted to be a superstar, and the girl said she would pray for her success. Since then, Angelina has performed barefoot in honor of that little girl and to those who are less fortunate around the world. She keeps this promise to this day. One of the reasons why we love her so much!

That is a familiar comment for a lot of her songs, including on her new EP. That is actually a good thing. It’s better for your audience to really like a song and want more than to be bored by the time the song is over. She says what she wants to say and moves on.

Yeah jazz bass players tend to go all over the neck. Sometimes because of the chords being used it’s easy to reach those notes in the middle of the fretboard. Just better positions of thr notes in relation to each other within the chord progressions. I think given Angelina’s age she will become something special down the road. Maybe an Adele. Angelina is a fan of ADELE and has every respect for her and her achievements .BTW in the link, video supplied by 103mrg notice how Angelina looks to her left , she is reading the Lyrics from ner device . many of these home performances are recorded with very little rehearsal time , often 3 recordings in one day .

Angelina has gotten much praise for her lyrics. Especially on the new EP. She has said that her song ideas and lyrics come from her journals that she has been writing since she was a little girl. Her Grandma Mery was a child prodigy artist and poet. She has been Angelina’s mentor all her luffs. I’m sure she has had some influence on Angelina’s writing ability. Angelina’s mom Sara has said that Angelina inherited her artistry from Grandma.

I saw a recent clip where Angelina's sister Juliette enumerates her "five" languages: American, English, Swedish and Norwegian... (she missed off a fifth) ) :) I wonder if they are both fluent in Swedish (their father is Swedish), the language the interviewer you mention started in before asking if they could switch to English...
