Angelina nailed this one from the start. The antique shop just pulled you into the classic/vintage Elvis song and gave it a feel of Graceland. Shaking the dust off of vintage music, black leather jump suit, red guitar-believe it is actually Rob Christie’s-and Priscilla Presley’s Beehive hair style, all relates back to the 1968 comeback special. Her two cousins and her sister Juliette show how important family is and her growth. The symbolism throughout the song was awesome. Love how Angelina cradled the guitar with her hip! Rob Christie is a Grammy winning producer and the director of studio operations at Republic Records, Angelina’s record label. He has accompanied her on piano since her signing with Republic Records. Angelina as always pays tribute to the original artist while making the song her own. She was in Norway today, back on stage for the first time since AGT (about 2.5 years ago). She sang her version of "Bohemian Rhapsody" and covered "I Have Nothing" from Whitney Houston. Best to wait until the professional video is available before reacting. To support Angelina, I now watch the original video after each reaction video I watch and I encourage all angels to do that same.

The 2 younger girls are her Uncle Mike's kids, and, of course, 2 time Grammy winner Rob Christie on piano. I was never a huge Elvis fan, even though my mother was, and she played his songs all the time, but I have read in the comments last night that this tribute was complete. From the black leather jumpsuit that Elvis wore on his comeback tour and the red guitar, to the hairstyle reminding us of his wife Priscilla from the early years. This young lady and those she works with are masters at what they do. And she was still paying tribute to a blue eyed Persian girl she met weighing people on the street 10 years ago. Not to mention her two little cousins and her sister being in the video. She truly is a treasure, and this interpretation was solid gold.
With Angelina there is always attention to detail. The black leather outfit, the guitar, Rob's bright coloured outfit - like at the pictures from the Elvis comeback special I 1968 - it's all there. As to Angelina's interpretation- the slow tempo gives the space for a deeply emotional performance.

The facts she will still be a teenager for 3 more years is mind blowing. On NGT when she had just gotten 8 years old, one of the judges said "Imagine this voice in 10 years, she will be (just) 18". Now she is 16 and it's already beyond belief.
Absolutely what I expected. She made this her own song and she did it beautifully. I noticed Juliet sitting there she is going to be as beautiful as Angelina one day. Elvis' version is great and it always was, and it still is one of my favorites. but Angelina's version is equally great and is definitely her own. When I first heard this song I loved it and put it at #3 on my playlist (Angelina Jordan Playlist by Terry M.), about midday I moved it up to #1. The main thing that changed my mind was the power in her voice. I'm not talking about loudness I'm talking about the power she has regardless of how loud or soft she sings. This is a quality that I haven't heard from anyone in my 82 years. This voice has become so unique that it is totally unmatched. The pianist is Rob Christie (3 Grammes), he is the head of the Republic Record department that is responsible for Angelina and other singers. The two small kids are her uncle Mike's kids, and the older girl is Angelina's sister. 🙂

Will she keep her promise made at 6 years old and still be barefoot? Elvis sang this with a fast up tempo beat which I felt never suited the lyrics. So yet again I prefer Angelina. She extracted and projected an emotional resonance I only get from the best artists. I noticed. I hope you are well, and keep well.
i'm sitting here in tears i envy rob that he gets to play for AJ, i can't believe i can't be at their concerts in Norway and i envy everyone who gets to experience that and of course I wish you a wonderful experience for you participants. Here is a classic example of what this ethereal talent, Angelina Jordan, can achieve she takes a mundane song and turns it in to phenomenal classic. Elvis's take was a faster paced driving beat. I think the hair was a nod to Priscilla, but the black leather was all Elvis he wore for his comeback concert broadcast around the world in '68. Also his red guitar was a Gibson ES 335 if I'm not mistaken. I was struck by the fullness and depth of her opening phrase. It was powerful without being overbearing. It was beautiful in it's strength it set the tone for the whole song.

A master artist at work choosing to cover classic songs of yesteryear with original twists which make her versions brand new songs with emphasis on presenting messages of the songs like we've never heard before. She's getting older and more mature and it's beautiful to watch it happen but one thing never changes and that is the love in her heart and when she sings for us she will always touch our hearts. Nick, I could sense the awe you have for her more than ever. The aura around her is something very special and it cannot be denied.

Elvis’ rendition is of course a stand alone iconic song. It is more up tempo as has a more commercial appeal. As she so often does, Angelina slowed the tempo down and in doing so her version sounds like a completely different song, while also respectfully paying tribute to the essence of the lyrics in Elvis’s song. I much prefer Angelina’s rendition because, as she always does, she brings forth the pure emotion that she feels the lyrics convey.

She has like 160 covers and 5 original songs. I recommend million miles which she wrote for her grandfather when he passed away. It also dedicated to everyone who has lost someone who is close to them. There are multiple versions of the song but the live studio recording is my favorite. She also has one where her grandmother did the art work for the video. You also should check out her cover of bohemian rhapsody on Agt the champions. even Queen themselves wrote on twitter "wow, What a rendition". also her cover to *I put a spell on you* and *Id rather go blind* is definitely worth checking out. Like everything she does turns to gold and hard to just pick a few. But i highly recommend you listen to her and see what you think.. She is truly amazing.. And thats not only for her age..
