Ananthu sir, there is no need for such a long, many disclaimer. Cinema music is for all, not just for intellect. And Msv, the genius gave it with clarity to all. Cinema music just got out of its closed seclusion of carnatic, became inclusive of all kinds of music both Indian and western.
One and the only Samrat , The Great MSV... You are very blessed & fortunate having worked & spent time with Him , Sri.Ananthu... One of the best but rarest combo , SPB & SJ with MSV... Pournami Nilavil Pani Vizhum Nilavil ; Ange Varuvadhu Yaro etc., are such brilliant outputs - we are the beneficiaries , what a way to enjoy... Great indeed...

அருமை ஆனந்து சார். பொதுவாக மன்னர் மீது வைக்கப்படும் குற்றச்சாட்டு அவர் எந்த ராகத்தையும் முழுமையாக பிரதிபலிப்பதில்லை.மெல்லிசை குறிப்பாக திரையிசை வேறு கர்னாடக சங்கீதம் என்பது வேறு என்பதைப் புரிந்து கொண்டவர்களுக்கு இது தெரியும். எல்லா இசையமைப்பாளர்களுக்கும் இது பொருந்தும் இளையராஜாவையும் சேர்த்து. ஆனால் இளையராஜா ரசிகர்கள் மன்னரின் மேதைமையைக் குறைத்து மதிப்பிடும்போது வருத்தமாக இருக்கும். அதனைப் போக்கும் விதமாக உங்கள் பதிவுகள் உள்ளன. நானும் ஒரு எம்எஸ்வி வெறியன்.
Please ignore the comments from such ' IR only ' ignoramus fans. I have also encountered such fans. It's possible they only carnatic or only western . These people can not see music as a response to an emotion or situation. They go by knowledge , bookish knowledge. They deserve to be ignored. Btw, many of these fans don't the real real master pieces of IR. I am finally adding - I am a great fan of IR too.
MSV'S music for intelligent people , he composes for situation of the film in an open composition session , unlike others confininig into a room , pretuning / extracting from existing good songs mainly MSV'S, HINDI, conveniently name it inspiration. NO it's an utter copy. That's why 1976 debutant' songs, in his early career came in for lot of criticism. We lived through that era. May be his fans are unaware of that.TMS openly slammed, Oram poo song. A Person who came to Chennai in 1968, to become a music director, after learning from many music directors, it took him 8 years to get first film in 1976, only from small producer. That's why MGR never hired him. His arrival affected only V.Kumar, whose due films went to the new comer. MSV'S market remained, with his invincible reputation of 25 years seniority, was only surpassed 1982, though he sustained some more years, whereas 1976 debutant was done by ROJA film. What do his fans make of this? So do not worry continue to be MSV VERIYAN
OMG! You are also a MSV genius! You made us realise that 'Genes' is what makes a born 'Genius'. The in-born special genes WILL push the gifted person towards their special talents. Your genes has MSV written in it and you were pushed towards him? Bravo, awesome demonstration which is worth a special Award IMHO.
MSV is more versatile than any other Music Directors, It's absolutely true he is a born genius. He has done more Raaga based songs than anybody else. His focus only on the situation composes accordingly, while keeping the Raagaa embedded. The cinema songs are meant for the situation , not to present the Raagaa. He blended both very well than anybody. That' why we see more variation in his songs , unlike others confined to stereo typed songs, easily forgotten.
Ananthu ji - You nailed it. It's extremely challenging to get into roots of MSV s composing . Who else is better suited than you to do this demo. Applaud you totally. I am little happy I was thinking both Shankarabaranam and Hari khamboji when you played the prelude music.
I have always enjoyed this breezy duet but did not realize that there is so much hidden in this. Thanks to Ananthu Sir for a brilliant analysis. Similar comments were made for "Nilavu oru pennagi" by one of my friends. May be Mr. Ananthu can take it up in another episode. Thanks.
MSV - மக்கள் திலகம் காதல் பாடல் என்றாலே - ஆரம்பத்திலிருந்து இறுதி வரை - ஒரு அசாத்ய விருவிருப்பு - ஒரு துள்ளல் - ஆட்டபாட்டம் + நல்ல இனிமை - இருப்பது போல் இசையமைத்துள்ளார். இதயக்கனி படத்தில் வரும் *இன்பமே* பாடல் இதே போன்று ஒரு துள்ளலான விருவிருப்பான ஆட்டபாட்டமான பாடல். *பச்சை கிளி முத்துச்சரம்* பாடலும் செம விருவிருப்பு + துள்ளல். இதுபோல் மக்கள் திலகத்தின் பல காதல் பாடல்கள். ஆனால் நடிகர் திலகம் என்றால் - காதல் பாடல்களில் MSV ஒரு ஏகாந்தத்தை கொண்டு வந்துவிடுவார். *முத்துக்களோ கண்கள்* போன்ற பாடல்கள். மெல்லிசை மாமன்னர் !!!

Sir, thanks for your great presentation...but music lovers are simply bowled over by his songs/tunes and melody and do not really care for ragas and other minute technical aspects.
