Awesome Kevin, I think it the best interview I have seen on AUS. Trument has done the homework and describes the problem best. But your commentary and foil to his thought is at a higher level of intellectual acuity than I remember seeing before. Although come to think of it, your choice to interview Bishop Dobbs recently was most appropriate. These are the people we need to hear more from and be influenced by more frequently. You are hitting it out of the park brother. Keep it up.
At 9:38 there are two people that I've known for 40 years and 30 years respectively who have recently undergone gender-change procedures. (They've never met each other.) Both have one thing in common: as long as I've known them they've not been centred/grounded people, but always felt adrift, always trying to find themselves, always seeking happiness from outside sources, always re-inventing themselves. They've jumped headlong into new religions, only to discard them later. They've changed their names. They've embraced new diets one after another. They've moved from place to place hoping to find someplace that feels like home. In other words their recent gender-identity self-re-invention is part of a lifelong pattern of looking outward rather than inward to find the inner peace they've been searching for their entire lives.
At 12:25 a psychologist was telling me that there are people who become convinced that part of their body is alien to them, and they're tortured every waking minute by the fact that this foreign arm (or foot or whatever) has somehow attached itself to their body. They sometimes arrange to have the offending part amputated. The psychologist's point was that such things aren't necessarily about gender identity. He said the majority of people later regret having their arm, foot, breasts, etc amputated.
We should not underestimate the role that the loss of spiritual authority of the church has had on culture. Who now sees the Christian leaders as a source of deep spiritual knowledge? The full support of the Church for wars was very corrosive - the Boer Wars, the First World War and others.
I must say you are one of the best conservative in broadcasting. However, you only present your views. Have a medical profession(MD) who actually deal with these sexual issues. In my opinion, get the views from others who might disagree with you and actual work in the medical field. May God bless one and ALL. Best!
There are plenty of other platforms you can go to on RU-vid to get orthodox medical doctors’ viewpoints on gender dysphasia issues. The same applies for non-Christian medical practitioners. No need for that here on this platform.
