I emigrated to Canada 57 years ago from my beloved hometown of Bangalore, which was then very much an Anglo-Indian stronghold. Over time, sadly, this admirable and endearing segment of Indian society slowly drained away from the Motherland. So it’s sooooo very reassuring Pearl, to not only watch you demonstrate your skills so efficiently, but to watch you do so with such pride, such dignity. I’m grateful for stalwarts like you, honestly. Now, I want to go out and buy some Chappati Atta!

Yes I’m also an Anglo Indian originally from Bangalore, immigrated to Calgary Canada 40 years ago. You’re 100% right when you say that tradition is gradually fading. Love watching Pearl’s recipes, all mouth watering and so very familiar.

Thank you for sharing so nice recipes they were all my favourite . The way you were showing so smartly . You are a real PEARLS. I am cooking as well, but not very much cooking shak and chapati and parrot as. I make cakes, muffins cheese cakes and my favourite bajreka rotla and lasanka ladu. But not as smart as Pearl. My favourite Dhal Puri waiting for next recipe. Thanks enjoyed today’s all recipes.

We call it Anda Bhurji, my mom tempers the onions with cumin, haldi and some other spices as well before adding the tomatoes and eggs. She also adds finely minced green chillies sometimes. It was our childhood fave for weekends! We typically ate it with roti or in sandwiches…YUM!!

I am happy to tell you I am an expert at Rumble Tumble Pearl because I got confirmation from you in this video. I wasn’t sure if I was cooking it the right way. For chapattis and parathas I run miles away. Too hard. I go for the frozen ones at the supermarket😂. Your channel is really cool. So many wonderful memories of home in India. Our cook (ayah) did our cooking there. Mum over here in Australia. She passed last year. Really sad but now it is me trying to carry on the tradition but passing it on to my daughter with the help of your channel. Thanks Pearl. ❤️🤗🙏🏼 Forgot to mention the chimta. I love it.😍

I always thought that rumble tumble was a silly and a fun name for scrambled eggs when I was a child ... Nowadays I mostly know it as bhurji..... Don't know how the term made it's way to my home though I am no anglo indian, but I do live in bengal but originally from jharkhand. Anyway maam nice recipe for the yt feed, I think rumble tumble is the best dish a scrambled egg should be cooked
