THANK YOUUUUU for bringing clarity to this. I wasn’t raised in a Christian home and am now a Christian parent to two young boys. I recognize the generational impact and see myself committing the same sins as my own parents did because of my own sinfulness. Thank GOD for faithful Christians who bring practical understanding to this verse so we, who are learning the Christian life for the first time, can know how to parent Gods way and put off our old self. Your ministry continues to be a blessing to my husband, me, and my boys. Thank you for being bold and saying it how it is.

Pastor John has a series on the family my goodness I would definitely recommend it, my kids are 16 and 21 oh how it change my outlook on how to raise our kids in God’s way

I struggle immensely with the not disciplining in anger. So not even a righteous indignation? I’m not sure about that one…

It’s never good to discipline kids in anger, we also must check our hearts as parents and asked why are we angry

Sometimes anger doesn't get your point across and never teaches. There is a seriousness where kids listen, but being angry to discipline never helps. It's a good way to keep in heart how God taught Israel in mercy and somber seriousness, but anger is only shown when the line is crossed. I mean, yes there is anger but you can show your seriousness in a way that doesnt require talking down on your kid, shouting, etc. kids today have a diff environment growing up so the methods we once know of will not be of effect. Talk to them like they're with thinking minds, which they have, they'll understand.

But I get you, so muh evil is prevalent today but if you keep i line with God's heart and being a good steward of the family the kids will understand...help them remember in everything, you re always for them and their good

I grew without my biological dad and sadly hw was not in my life. He did not love me, I was to him a financial bhrden. So it was hard for my mother to raise me. I was a trouble maker. I was severely punished, and although I am grateful it did leave smemotional acars that I will most likely not forget. But God graciously has brought me out to continue un this pilgrimage walk now with His as my Heavenly Father and not my enemy. Praise be to God. ❤️‍🩹
