It has taken me a long time to come around to waiting for the race to come to me, and I'm still sometimes trying to force opportunities, but I think I'm getting there.
Thanks for posting the race! I enjoyed watching the entire thing and kudos on keeping up with the pack. You even had the fastest lap! That's amazing. In terms of dipping into the deep 1:05s, your lines are good and it's just the gear selection that likely preventing you from getting those last few tenths off your time. I'm actually quite surprised you managed a low 1:06 without going into 2nd once and staying in 4th gear around the last turn! That just goes to show how great your lines were. Looking forward to your next race.
Wow, a top ten driver taking an interest in my race. That's pretty cool. Thanks for the tips. Like you're saying, I think my next improvement is going to have to come from properly switching to manual, so I can grab those few extra tenths. Thanks again for taking an interest!
You could see the aggro growing lap by lap. I honestly had settled for 4th. I figured unless I had a shot on the last lap any of those guys I'd pass would be straight back onto to me and I'd likely lose more than my spot.
