His skin just need to withstand his internal pressure, okay that is at cellular level so his cell membranes must withstand cellular inner pressure against the vacuum of space. Then his lungs must withstand the pressure of his last breath against the vacuum of space. If he can withstand those pressures then there is just losing heat by radiation and resisting the full might of an unfiltered star radiation ... Not much for a primarch.

From what I remembered from that novel, he held his breath for a really fucking long time while in space, he then used his suits boosters to get back on his ship. He was so pissed off about the whole ordeal (sudden betrayal and getting ejected out to space) that he looked like a red faced berzerker (from being exposed to the vacuum) with no weapon while running towards the traitor marines outside the hull of that ship, which really surprised everyone that saw him do that, the traitors never expected anything could survive for that long, fully exposed to the hazards of space lol

People often forget that each and every primarch is a god of war.. Each of them has their own Forte when it comes to being a primarch but absolutely every single one (even lorgar) is a living engine of war.. So guilliman displaying that level of fury is not really surprising but still very much terrifying.. He's like the soft-spoken big brother who's always there to help and then one day he snaps..

@@gamechanger8908 the Lion was the exterminator, you sent him to not just defeat but eradicate an enemy. Fulgrim was the perfectionist- you sent him when you wanted to demoralize your enemy by the shear precision of your tactics and maneuvers. Fulgrim was there to convert enemies, not just destroy them. Guilleman is sometimes called the politician or the governor, but really he's the quartermaster, the one who handles all the logistics so everyone else can fight with full bellies and full magazines. In a lot of ways this makes Gullieman the most dangerous Primarchs as his Ultramarines will always have spare parts, ammo and the gear needed to fight for much longer and with better all around support than any other legion or chapter.

@Mike Brown many underestimate the ability to govern but the fact that guilliman is so incredibly efficient at empire building means that he'll always have a fully equipped army and fully equipped bastions.. That also explains why he's not the best at dueling coz he didn't really have to.. His astartes are his might at arms, just a wave of his hand could set doom to a planet via a 250,000 strong legion back in the day..

I kind of like that Guilliman pretty much loses every time he tries to take on another Primarchs 1v1. But he does it anyway because he realizes he is the only one who can at least buy some time until the plot device they have on hand can get rid of the other Primarch. It makes him a more well rounded Primarch rather than someone who is good at everything.

@@niccolomiglio6996 I don't think his fighting powers are sub par. He did decently against two Chaos juiced Primarchs, letting himself get stabbed by Mortarion due to the Prophecy. He also beat the shit out of Magnus. And he almost pieced up Lorgar if Angron didn't step in, and even then Angron had a hard time against the Smurf Papa.

But something that you notice when Guilliman fights is a sort of "short man syndrome" that makes him extremely angry and unpredictable, that's why I called him "the primarch honey badger"

Every time I see Guilliman move... man... just... holy shit. It's nothing like the Horus Heresy trailor. Horus was clunky and jagged due to his ultra heavy armour. But Guilliman... the grace and precision is unnatural. I can see how 'transhuman dread' is a thing. Something so massive... just shouldn't move that easily. Gawhdam

That was the case for a lot of Primarchs, the ability of something so big and heavy, to move faster and more accurately than basically everything on the battlefield. Case in point, Perturabo was noted to have been wearing heavy armor and wielding forge breaker as he faced down Angron. He constantly surprised all traitors on the field with how quick he could move compared to the relatively lighter Angron

As I recall mention is made that Guilliman’s little jaunt on the hull actually left him with scarring, namely pronounced veins in his neck from the neck seal of his armour. This is notable as he very much had the equipment to remove the scarring but chose not to in memory of Calth.

I remember this scene so well. It was the “alright, I might be good natured most of the time but I can kick ass like any other of my angry brothers.” Reminds me off when he destroyed that squad of Alpha legionnaires posing as ultramarines. Only one who went more HAM on the Word Bearers was Corax when he put his last beat down on Lorgar and made him hide away in Sicarus for the last few millennia. Lorgar: “Is he gone yet?” Corax: “ Bitch, ain’t none of your weak ass Bible thumpers taking me on. Better keep your ass in there if you know what is good for you.”

No that would be Logar, Gulliman is actually quite capable. He may not be the as good as some of his Brothers, but he's no push over either.

@@covahredro8370 Hes on par with Lorgar They did duel and Guilliman barely had the advantage, was quite the duel and both were wounded, with Guilliman getting half his face torn off and his skull caved in. He fought Mortarion (2nd Tier) Died Fought Fulgrim (2nd Tier) Died Fought Angron (1st Tier) Almost died Lorgar (3rd Tier) Skull caved in, face ripped off Draw Put that up against say Corax? (Mid Tier) and Lorgar? Fight lasted 8 seconds and Lorgar almost got insta killed if not for The Night Haunter Guilliman is undeniably the most "Powerful" Primarch, even in 30k...but his strength is NOT single combat by any stretch of thr imagination

@@covahredro8370 The Night Haunter even scared Corax...who one shotted Lorgar When Guilliman and the Lion fought Curze...the Lion spent 3/4 of his tome protecting Guilliman Like i said, hes BY FAR the most powerful, but in a 1v1 hes on par at the bottom with Lorgar

@@adrienwatson2179 he beat lorgar pretty decisively. he was still able to fight basically at full strength against angron. he let lorgar hit him in the face and caved in his ribcage, no way lorgar was going to have a chance after that. he would have killed lorgar if angron who was becoming a demon at the time hadn't stepped in. and even though it was a fighting retreat, he still gave angron one of his toughest fights with the forementioned half missing face. Mortarian hit him with the god blight so not really a fair fight. fulgrim stabbed him with the dagger that turned horrus if I'm not mistaken and ending in him runningback to the warp, and as was said after the battle of Jutland "tis a curious view, when it is the conquerors who run and the vanquished who pursue."

That book was so goddamn good. It had some hilarious moments too, like the Chapter Master of the Ultramarines learning that his saviour Sergeant Theil was about to be tried for the crime of ... running theoretical exercises for precisely the type of event that was happening on Calth at that moment.

When I was reading the novel first time, I didn't have much fear over Guilliman's fate, as he didn't write Codex Astartes yet. So the part when he was sucked out of the ship made me confused af. And then his return. Oh his return. Even his sons, the Ultramarines, fighting outside of the ship, their boots magnetized to its hull, were terrified of their beloved father's rage. They didn't see him as a primarch or even a human, but as a force of nature and rage itself
