I made it part of my routine. The first two things I do in the game are Kapp'n tours and visits to Harv's island. I have 3 zodiac figurines, and more than enough of the other 4 items. The golden turtle is my favorite. 😊

I love Katrina, and I visit her as soon as I've checked the mail every time I boot up the game. I'm trying to collect all the zodiac figurines, and it's been going good so far. I only have 2 or 3 left to get. Getting good luck is not a bad thing either, my favorite being the belongings one. Every time I get that one I go chopping as much wood as I possibly can since the tools won't break all day.

… except if the durability of the tool you’re using is depleted, it will still break, even if having good luck with belongings. (Own experience.) Ofc tools that still have some durability left won’t break on a good-luck-with-belongings day.

The zodiac figures are way more rare to get from her. I visit everyday and I only have 4. If you are purified it must be like a 10% or less chance of getting one of them.

Idk if this is obvious or not, but your luck -at least good luck- doesn't exist until you have katrina read your fortune. Yesterday, I broke my axe and my fishing pole. After finishing up what I was doing, I went to harvs and had my fortune read. Katrina predicted good luck with belongings and nothing broke that day from then on. I do try to visit katrina daily, but I keep getting turtles and horseshoes from her. I really want the zodiac animals

As someone who only encountered Katrina in ACNH I had no idea what I was getting myself into. Did my first fortune telling and the atmosphere that occurs when she does it scared me so much I ran away with my tail between my legs and never visited her again. Sorry Katrina -_-

Thanks for the explanation! Golden turtle. Which is literally one of three things I've received (i keep getting duplicate mini dharma and crystal balls). I try to visit every day but have slacked off the past month or so...time to get back into the routine.

Good luck has worked the best for me. Days with no wasp. Digging up 5000 bells. 300 bells from trees. I don’t like the presents.

Gold turtle. So many gold turtles. I visit every day. I have too many of her normal items and have gotten the tiger, dog and sheep zodiacs so far. If bad luck is rare, then my character is in real trouble. I also have enough horseshoes to put on the front door of every house; one of each color of the dharmas and too many power stones. If you want any of them, hit me up. I have plenty to spare. 🤣

I've also noticed the color that appears in the ball when she's talking to you indicates what kind of luck you will have. Green is health, pink is friendship, yellow is money and blue is belongings. I haven't figured out how to tell right away if it's good or bad though. Sorry for the multiple replies. I'm done now.

I've got A LOT of crystal balls, horseshoes and golden turtles, and I've got 3 zodiac animal as well. I still need the dharma, but she's just don't want to give me that. And it's sooo frustrating! I don't know what to do with more than 10 horseshoe for example... :(

So it sounds like the base chance of bad luck is 30%, unless you had it the previous day, in which case it's 0%.
