12:00 - I didn't see anyone say it in the comments, so I'll just answer this one: Unlike here in the west where it's generally considered pretty gross, a perpetually runny nose on a character is seen as endearing in Japan, since it suggests the character is too young to wipe their nose themselves. It's treated with roughly the same nonchalance as using snot bubbles to indicate a character sleeping.

@@beasthaven1571 Chops was the first character in my campsite. I hated him. I HATED him. But I had to invite him in so I could progress. After he moved in and got off house arrest, I was like "Finally!". I had my net out and ready to smack him, but I decided to talk to him once. Give him a chance. The first thing he said was "What's your favorite type of music?". One of the answers? Cartoon music. Anime. I'm a huge weeb and ALL of my songs are anime openings. I chose that and he said he loved them too. He'd saved himself. He knew just what to say. Out of all the conversations we could have had, he picked the one that appealed to me most... He's still on my island.

I have never related to a comment as much as this. I bought the game three days ago. Getting the iron nuggets for the store was a freaking nightmare. I had to buy 5 nook miles tickets because every stone I came across gave me one or two nuggets and the rest just.. eggs. So many eggs.

I miss having a bizarre little ant farm of Miis, drawing on their faces as they slept, writing songs, the RPG battles, etc. Miis have yet to receive even a modicum of the kinda love they had on the 3DS when it comes to the Switch. Making new fighters in Smash is fun, but ultimately, I'm still dying to have another game based on the little weirdos.

@@katsala918 I sold my 3DS (long story, didn't really wanna), before I got the chance to try that game and that kinda thing is exactly my point. It was just these fun little games where the cast was entirely determined by the player, and in Miitopia's case, the entire playerbase. It feels so personal that way. Animal Crossing is great, but it's definitely not the same.

Can't you just select a different user when you're starting up the game from the home screen? Doesn't each user on the console have their own set of save files for each game?

There is *a* gyroid who pops up to collect donations whenever you want to build a new bridge or incline, but there are no collectable gyroids in New Horizons.

He literally had his shop/house broken into countless times in the original (Not Animal Forest) and he wasn't even sleeping then! But you gotta respect the man. I actually got my mom into animal crossing and she loves it. She loves interacting with our villagers and she loves the museum. Sometimes when she can't sleep she'll just play animal crossing.
