@Envy_Dragon Год назад
Hard agree. Any time he starts talking about like, design theory, or animation concepts, or any of that stuff, it's instantly fascinating. I think that's part of the reason so many people miss his Sequelitis cartoons; I'm sure they were a ton of work to animate, but as good as the animation was, I was 100% there for the content. Which isn't to say that I resent the Game Grumps concept or anything... I just find that I'm much happier when the discussion turns to "oh here's a bit of trivia I happen to know about this game's development/why this level is the way it is/how they accomplished this bit of design" rather than when they're trying and failing a simple task because nobody wanted to read the tutorial.

Wow this was my favorite Animators React episode ever (I love them all btw)! Growing up, back in high school, Egoraptor and the whole Newgrounds scene was one of the main reasons I developed the dream to become an Animator! It took me 10 more years to actually decide and switch careers to Animation! It's exciting to see the INDIE animation scene developing further and so this was awesome to see one of the early legends, still doing well :) An idea for a future episode could be: VR Animation A lot of cool things are being done in VR nowadays including animation. You can do really cool things inside VR and have a frame-by-frame style reminiscent of classic Ghibli or Disney within VR. 3D animation with a Handdrawn feel basically. I am a VR animator myself in the moment and I am really inspired by what some highly skilled animators are doing like: Studio Syro Matt Schaefer Goro Fujita (the OG) Daniel Peixe There so many more to be honest. Would be great to see someone from that scene on your couch.

Honestly I bet Markiplier had a hand in arranging this, he and Jack both worked out of the same office as Game Grumps for years so it wouldn't shock me if Mark at one point said, "hey, have you thought about getting Arin on animators react?" Maybe he'll be promoted above intern someday after all

@@Sebby514 I mean I love when he gets analytical too, but why is it a bad thing that he has game grumps? As part of that job, he gets to hang out with his friends all the time, give them good health care coverage, and help in facilitating theirs and even other people's creative endeavors all because of a dream job of getting to play games and have fun with his bestie and occasionally even do live tours. Like holy fuck man even if you don't enjoy the show at all, soo much cool/net-positive shit has come out of game grumps, I'm so glad it exists.

Man, the internet must be sending me some strong signals to get back into this stuff. About 2 months ago someone posted one of my old flash animations that I lost 15 years ago onto youtube, after talking to him about how he recovered them (i had deleted my account in 2006) i was able to recover about half of my newgrounds submissions. (I just posted them on my channel) Now I see this. Yeah, I need to look into what animation software is available these days and set some time aside to see what I can still do.

@A Cube In Space yeah, mines full of alot of regret. I had built a good reputation on newgrounds (one of my videos stayed at the #1 of all time score for months) and was in with alot of the popular animators and coders at the time. (Me and Tom had discussed making a game once together.) But I was going through a bad time, and in a fit of depression deleted my account and all traces of my stuff. Watching all that stuff again makes me sad that I quit. Who knows whered I'd be today if I kept at it.

Way back in the day I used a program called 'Pivot'. It was an animation program that allowed you to use stick figures to create animations. You could also make and save your own assets with their own movable limbs. I used it quite a bit and many of these stick figure animations could've been replicated in Pivot.
