Thank you so much. I love the way you pronounce words. That helps a lot. I watched "From Me to You" the other night. The main character spoke so softly and so slowly, I caught a few words I've heard you teach me. Arigato gozaimasu Sensei.

Goodness, I needed a reason to go watch more anime. Okay, maybe not, but it's nice to have a guide to help make sense of the expressions, it really adds to the experience since so many things just don't translate directly and the wordplay gets lost otherwise. Arigatou gozaimasu, sensei!

I haven't watched much anime in Japanese but I did watch DBZ in Japanese a while back and one of the cutest lines was Gohan saying "Oto-san" a lot when talking to or about Goku. Also Masako Nozawa performances as tiny kid Gohan were just so damn adorable.

You said people in Japan don't normally speak that way, but Japan is a very traditionalist society. People may start fetishizing that sort of talk, and then no one respects about or cares about traditions, then society as you know it is gone. Japan is one of the last remaining places still hanging on to some sort of traditional value's. I mean where I live people say the "b" word like it's going out of style, constantly, non-stop. Men, women, girls, boys, everyone. There was no way this was considered acceptable even when I was a child. Things like this seem to slip away very fast. I was just watching a kids movie the other day, and the Ludacris song "get out the way" which says "move b*tc*, get out the way, get out the way b*tc*, get out the way" was playing in a sort of funny scene where people were running down a hill and sort of not watching out for other people. That's just like a child's cartoon movie. If parents say "this isn't acceptable", but then movies have it, children tend to sort of take their cue's from movies rather than "out of touch" adults.
