This tutorial will only consist of shaders. Everything here are all controlled by shaders and drivers, meaning that working on this project will be limited, depending on the skill of the user. All ocean, waterfall, VFX, and such are all powered by shaders and drivers. We did not use any geometry nodes, modifiers, constraints, dynamic paint, attributes, and/or physics in this tutorial. Bro are u using newer versions of blender? I feel like 3.6 is the perfect balance between UI/tools but i dont know if Blender 4.1+ is worth downloading.

There's some pros and cons, but from my point of view, there are more cons than pros. Assuming you're using pure blender (not like goo engine or other engines such as octane), 4.1+ or above has eevee next, where some settings are moved and only accessible in certain areas (ex. bloom can only be accessed through the compositor). With the realtime compositor not supporting separate individual passes yet, it can be a hassle to go back and forth between seeing final renders and such. Another con when upgrading is some characters (or any projects in that matter) that work with python scripts and/or drivers as a function can also break, seeing how some addons not function properly when upgrading from 3.6 --> 4.1+ (ex: mmd tools don't function properly in 4.1+) Granting some addons are being released that is capable and compatible with 4.1+, it will be a hassle to go back and forth downloading every addon you have If you're only going for balancing UI/tools, 3.6 is fine and there's no need to upgrade. Especially some addons are not updated, and only supporting 3.6 If you would like to talk about this further, come add my discord: vortexc_

@@KadouCG Ah man... is so volatile. The bloom in compositor.... is not so good idea i must say. But thanks to you i have a general picture about new version and for NPR projects i think imma stay in 3.6 is not like im going to use every new tool at 100%.

If you're interested in the workflow I currently do, I have all blender downloaded from 2.8 up to 4.0.3 (goo engine), and pretty much if there's anything I need done in lower versions, I can export it and import it back in the higher version of blender. As someone who relies on every latest tools (flexibility for collaboration and npr/pbr assets only compatible with 4.X+), it is essential for me to adapt as fast as possible, so when it comes to those specific reasons in mind, there will be an advantage and become flexible in any other areas basically. But yes, no need to use every tools 100%
