no one can match Anita voice, i can't believe 14 dislikes i guess they prefer rap music.

Anita sang this song many times as a solo on the Johnny Cash road show, accompanying herself on gut string guitar (not on her mother's L5 as pictured on the video). I'm sure she did this studio version the same way, and all in one take.

One of the greatest voices in country music.The Carter family have lleft a legacy that will never be equalled.. My late wife loved Johnny Cash. We saw them together three times in Ireland, Their gospel singing was the best I've ever heard. AP Carter always comes across as a sad man , I'm sure he was broken hearted after their marriage break up . Hope they are all reunited in heaven now.

How she was not promoted into superstardom, primarily by being given great songs like this that went to her rivals, is a mystery to me. For whatever reasons, it just wasn't meant to be. In the great Pantheon of female vocalists, she had some equals, but no superiors! When God was handing out the immortal voices, Anita was among the first in line.

One of my all time favorite singers. This is a beautiful song but the producer put too much reverb on it. Anita didn't need a lot of effects she had a beautiful voice.

When you feature an Anita Carter song, it should be replete with video. Because besides having an angelic voice, she was also damn good looking.
