Voce pura e morbida, impeccabile, fraseggio ricco di sfumature, accento eloquente e acuti facili... incredibile resa e una potenza vocale ragguardevole... una timbrica sontuosa e vellutata. Unica!!!
Bellezza di timbro, piani pianissimi fino al fortissimo nulla mancava a questa voce straordinaria. E , in più volume estensione "durezza" e morbidezza. Se la sua carriera non fosse durata così poco , sarebbe stata il più grande soprano di sempre. Avrebbe messo in secondo piano sia Callas che Tebaldi combattendole sul loro stesso terreno musicale.
Magnifique interprétation .Cette femme est extraordinaire ,sa voix est pleine et naturelle ,puissante et douce par moment ,très expressive.Son registre est étendu et son agilité remarquable .De plus je préfère cette version en Italien ,pour moi ,beaucoup plus proche et émouvante . Il faut aussi l'écouter dans l'air d'Agnese von Hauhenschtaufen de Spontini. ..... extraordinaire ❤️❤️
Wow! What a RARE, spectacular performance by the great Cerquetti. Thanks for posting this thrilling rendition. I don’t care if it’s sung in its original English, or in German or Italian translations, I LOVE this aria!
Thrilling. Stupendous. Awe inspiring! Sung in Italian and in the Italian style. A live recording, so no retakes for minor problems, Cerquetti is an imposing figure. No one sings like this anymore.
Bivolari And has anyone on any surviving recording of this ever been more exciting? I may not heard every last one, but my list is long. Remembering the first time I heard this version, it was a revelation. And, btw., the Italian style is a definite plus...the ¨wattage¨ is significantly ramped up, so the stretta at the end just sweeps one away. WOW!!! Thanks to Edmond for posting this.

Matthieu Degott Notre ami Cornelius étant aussi délicat que cultivé, m'a pris à part pour me remontrer mon erreur. Une confusion télévisuelle avec M Mödl. Donc, Anita Cerquetti n'a JAMAIS chanté Wagner. Je ne dis pas que c'est dommage, parce qu'elle s'est sagement cantonnée dans un répertoire qui lui allait idéalement, mais je soutiens qu'elle avait tout pour faire des Elsa, Elisabeth ou Sieglinde de rêve. Donc, rêvons...
